Camilla Marrese (b.1998) is a photographer, graphic designer, editor and writer. She serves as PhMuseum’s Visual Editor. Working in a duo with Gabriele Chiapparini, she published Thinking Like An Island (Overlapse) in 2024, receiving the PhotoESPAÑA Best Photography Book Award and the Nera di Verzasca 2nd prize in 2025, and the ArtsLibris-Banco Sabadell Award in 2024.

Their work was exhibited in venues such as Verzasca Foto Festival (CH), DECK (SG), Casa Testori (IT), PhMuseum Lab (IT), Kranj Foto Fest (SI), Dutch Design Week (NL) among others, and was a part of Project Groundswell (EU). She was a finalist for the Luigi Ghirri Prize in 2024, and the recipient of the Singapore Exchange in 2025.

As a graphic designer collaborating with artists and publishers, her projects received recognitions such as the Encontros da Imagem Photobook Award (main prize), the Photo/Frome Photobook Award (main prize), the Most Beautiful Books Selection by The Finnish Book Art Committee, and the Rencontres d’Arles Photo-Text Book Award (finalist). She holds an MA in Information Design from Design Academy Eindhoven (NL) and a BA in Graphic Design and Visual Communication from ISIA Urbino (IT).

Liza Faktor is an independent curator, visual artist and arts producer working at the intersection of photography, moving image, performance and emerging media. She has curated over twenty exhibitions and festival programmes and has lectured and led workshops internationally across the US, UK, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Brazil, Spain, UAE, Australia and Russia.

Her work has been presented at Tribeca, IDFA, Sheffield Doc/Fest and Visions du Réel, as well as at institutions and venues including the Dutch Resistance Museum, Musée du quai Branly, Detroit Institute of Arts, Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Frontline Club and IFP Made in New York Media Center. As an award-winning creative producer, she has collaborated with photographers, filmmakers and visual artists on award-winning installations, art films, multi-platform projects and community engagement initiatives.

Liza was a founding member of Vessel, an international art and film production collective, and co-founded the cross-platform production company Screen in New York. She was also the founding director of the Objective Reality Foundation in Russia, a non-profit organisation supporting long-term visual storytelling. She currently serves as Programming and Development Lead at Curatorial Exhibitions.

Pablo Giori is the Director of the International Photography Festivals Association (IPFA) and founder of the Experimental Photo Festival and Agora, School of Experimentation. He holds a PhD in Contemporary History, and his work combines academic research and cultural management, with a focus on teaching and collective projects that promote sustainability, inclusivity and forward-looking approaches to photography’s role in contemporary society.

Pablo teaches Critical Perspectives in Photography in the Master’s in Photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany, and has curated 21 exhibitions across Europe and Latin America. He has also published several books and catalogues addressing experimental photography, photographic heritage and the Experimental Photo Festival.

Through IPFA, Pablo works to connect photography festivals worldwide, fostering international collaboration and supporting research, exchange and visibility across the photography festival sector.

Marcel Kollen is a Rotterdam-based photographer, cultural entrepreneur and curator. Alongside his visual practice, he has played an active role in Rotterdam’s cultural scene, organising art festivals and leading projects for institutions including Kunsthal Rotterdam and Het Nieuwe Instituut.

In 2015, Marcel founded Rotterdam Photo to create a wider platform and greater support for national and international photographers during Rotterdam Art Week. Since then, he has served as Director of Rotterdam Photo, developing and curating numerous exhibitions and commissions of contemporary photographic art. Over the course of ten festival editions, he has shaped diverse programmes of artist talks, symposiums, residencies, workshops, video projects and exhibitions.

His curatorial practice focuses on creating distinctive and innovative exhibition and programming environments, with a strong commitment to cultural equity and inclusion. Marcel has also built and maintained Rotterdam Photo’s national and international profile through strong relationships with artists, partners and funders, while developing brand awareness, audience engagement and diversified income streams.

Erik Vroons (b. 1976, The Netherlands) is a freelance writer, editor and curator in the realm of creative and journalistic photography. For many years, he’s been active as Editor in Chief/Editor-at-large for GUP Magazine and he was also involved with its associated talent platforms, New Dutch and Fresh Eyes.

Ongoing, he collaborates with OVER Journal as co-editor and furthermore guides various individual photography talents from all over the world in the process of their autonomous practice, operating as a ‘jack of all trades’ with specializations in editorial coaching and essays/reviews/grant writing, be it for publications or otherwise. Regarding screening- and jury processes in recent years he has experiences with organizations such as World Press Photo, Lensculture, Canon, Rotterdam Photo Festival, Fotofestiwal Lodz, Boutographies, Preus Museum a.o.

Rebecca Kailola-Simons (Finland, 1981) is a photographic artist, educator and editor based in the Netherlands. Her artistic practice explores the relationship between memory, history and constructed narratives through photography, video and installation.

Alongside her artistic practice, Rebecca teaches at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, where she is co-course leader of the Photography Department. Previously, she worked as Creative Director at Fotomat, Image Editor at de Volkskrant, and Senior Producer at World Press Photo, where she was responsible for exhibitions, publications and educational programmes.

Rebecca regularly works as a portfolio reviewer, nominator and jury member for international photography festivals and talent development programmes.

Jaasir Linger (Zoetermeer, 1991) is an interdisciplinary visual artist, photographer and filmmaker with Surinamese roots, based in Rotterdam. His practice explores his Surinamese heritage, the traditional Afro-Surinamese Winti religion, and Suriname’s shared history with the Netherlands. He translates his research into installation art and other interdisciplinary forms.

In 2019, Linger graduated from the Fotoacademie Amsterdam as an autonomous image maker and subsequently earned a Master of Arts from the Sandberg Institute. During his time at the academy, he won the Golden Freelancer Award 2016/2017 for the interactive VPRO documentary Gliphoeve – A Forgotten Struggle. He is also a former member of the Visual Arts Advisory Committee of the Amarte Fonds.

Linger’s work has been exhibited at institutions and events including Museum Het Rembrandthuis, Amsterdam Museum, Het Nieuwe Instituut, Völkerkundemuseum Herrnhut, Bijbels Museum and documenta fifteen.
