Jean-Christophe Godet is an international curator and founder of the Guernsey Photography Festival. He is also the co-founder and Artistic Director of a new major festival in France: GLAZ Festival (Rencontres Internationales de Photographie de Rennes). Both festivals brings together major names in international photography with a host of emerging talent, for a packed month of exhibitions, projections, talks, educational workshops and community events. Diane Smyth is Editor of the British Journal of Photography and the Photoworks Annual. She also teaches History and Theory of Photography at the London College of Communications, University of the Arts London, and has given talks and workshops at institutions such as London School of Economics and King's College London. Diane has written about photography for The Guardian, FT Weekend Magazine, Aperture, FOAM, Trigger, Apollo, The Art Newspaper, and more, and contributed essays to many photography catalogues and monographs.
She originally studied for a BA in English Language and Literature at the University of Birmingham, and also holds an MA in Modern Literatures in English from Birkbeck College, University of London.
Caroline is an award-winning picture editor for The Guardian's Saturday magazine. With three decades of experience, she has worked with some of the most prominent names in photography. Caroline commissions a wide range of photography; from documentary and still-life, to conceptual photography and portraiture. She is a regular reviewer at international photography festivals. Alex Kahl is the Online Editor of WePresent, the arts platform of WeTransfer. João Kulcsár is the Director and founder of the São Paulo Photography Festival and the Paranapiacaba Photo Festival in Brazil. He holds a Master's degree in Arts from the University of Kent, UK, British Council scholarship and was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University, USA. Kulcsár has been a Professor and Coordinator of Photography at Senac University since 1990 and is the former president of the Brazilian Network of Photography Producers. He has Curated more than 100 photographic exhibitions in Brazil, including shows featuring Claudia Andujar, Magnum 60 Years, Edward Curtis, Observers - British Scene Photography from 1930 to Today, Immigrant Portraits at the Ellis Island Museum (New York), Magnum at the Cinema, Arno Rafael Minkkinen's Body as Evidence, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, and Altered Ocean. Jenni Grainger is the Director of London-based Photography Recource Centre, Photofusion. Photofusion, established over 34 years ago, is a registered charity and is London's largest all-encompassing photography centre; with darkrooms, film processing services, digital production facilities, galleries, a studio, on-site shop (Parallax), strong membership programme and many educational and outreach courses. Prior to joining Photofusion, Jenni has been a Producer and Executive Director in the Arts Sector for the last 23 years, predominantly working in Performing Arts before moving to Visual Arts in 2024. As Director, Jenni is responsible for the strategic vision, financial sustainability, and artistic excellence of the company, in a strong partnership approach with staff, customers, artists, partners, and funders. Yining He is a researcher and curator of visual arts based in China. She is the founder of two independent journals, Floating Island and Starlight. Her scholarly contributions have been published widely in both Chinese and English, appearing in peer-reviewed journals, edited book chapters, and exhibition catalogues. With over 50 curated group exhibitions across China and Europe, Yining's curatorial work engages with transnational artistic practices and fosters dialogue across diverse cultural contexts.
