Lars Boering
Lars Boering

Lars Boering is the director of the European Journalism Center foundation (EJC) and founder of Triggertale.com, a platform for visual communication and storytelling. He has been actively involved with photography for several years. From 2015 till 2021 he led World Press Photo Foundation and has transformed it into an organization that is more than a contest. He calls himself a photopreneur, is an advisor on photography, teacher, collector and consultant. As an advisor, he is working together with several professional partners actively involved in the creative industries and advertising business. Together they add different opinions on and solutions to the projects and brands they work on. Lars has co-produced exhibitions with photographers, Festivals, museums and art foundations and works as picture editor and judges contests at the highest level.

Karolina Gembara
Karolina Gembara

Karolina Gembara is a photographer and a researcher. Her work revolves around issues like home, belonging, migration, changing lands and identities. Recently, she has been focusing on the political situation in her home country. She is interested in using photography as a tool, a pretext for collaboration and creating processes. In 2013 she published her first book 'Fitting Rooms' which reflects on the role of women in her generation. Between 2009 and 2016 Karolina was based in India and produced her second book 'When we lie down, grasses grow from us' on the migratory experience (published by GOST books in 2019). In recent years she has undertaken several participatory projects with refugees and migrants. Karolina collaborates with the Archive of Public Protest for which she edits Strike Newspapers, she is also a member of Sputnik Photos. Her PhD dissertation focuses on subjective narratives of historical migrations. She is based in Berlin and Warsaw.

Emma Bowkett
Emma Bowkett

Emma Bowkett is Director of Photography at the FT Weekend Magazine and a curator focussed on lens-based arts and contemporary visual culture. She is Associate Lecturer at UAL: University of the Arts London, and regularly participates at international workshops, portfolio reviews, festivals and awards. Emma is a visiting speaker for various photography programmes across the UK and abroad. Emma is the curator of a Financial Times special supplement and talks programme at the annual Photo London photography fair and is on the advisory board for Peckham 24, the annual festival that spotlights artists working with an expanded photographic practice. She will be Unseen Amsterdam's Unbound curator 2023. Emma is based in London, UK.

Arianna Rinaldo
Arianna Rinaldo

Arianna Rinaldo is a freelance professional working with photography at a wide range. From 2012 to 2021 she was the artistic director of Cortona On The Move, international festival of visual narrative. Since 2016 she is the photography curator at PhEST, a festival of contemporary photography and arts in Puglia. Arianna’s relationship with photography started in 1998 as archive director at Magnum Photos in New York; and later as photo editor for Colors magazine in Italy. Based in Milan from 2004 to 2011, Arianna worked as a freelance curator and a photo consultant for various publications, among which 4 years at D, the weekend supplement of La Repubblica (2008-2011). In the meantime, for 8 years she was the editorial director of OjodePez, the bilingual documentary photo magazine published by La Fabrica, Madrid. Based in Barcelona since 2012, Arianna continues to develop photography projects at an international level. Besides her curatorial activity, Arianna is engaged in leading workshops and masterclasses, as well as private mentorship sessions. She is in the selection committee of various institutions among which the Leica Oskar Barnack Award and the British Journal of Photography Ones to Watch. As a speaker and portfolio reviewer, Arianna is regularly invited to important photo events around the globe, such as: Houston Fotofest, USA; Photolucida, Portland, USA; Format Festival, Derby; UK; Daegu Photo Biennale, Corea; Paris Photo Lensculture Meeting Place, Francia, among others. She is a regular participant in jury panels worldwide such as World Press Photo (2009), Hamburg Portfolio Review; Czech Press Photo; FNAC Talento Fotografico, PHMuseum Grant; Lensculture Awards; Photolucida Critical Mass; 6 Mois International Photojournalism Prize, among many.

Milica Saracevic
Milica Saracevic

Milica Saracevic is a press and strategic communication officer at the European Commission. She and her team work to implement communication activities within the strategic communication framework of EU enlargement and neighbourhood policy in order to raise public awareness about EU values, policies and programmes. Based in Brussels, Milica has spent over a decade working with the European Commission has a keen interest in photography and the arts. She has in-depth knowledge and understanding of the historical, social, cultural, economic and political issues in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
