About

To mark the 75th anniversary of the German Photographic Society, the DGPh and Fotografiska Berlin jointly present a non-competitive photo slam at the Fotografiska Ballroom on 19 September 2026. From 26 June to 7 August 2026, a worldwide open call invites photographers to submit existing series that can be read as documents of a future in the making — the present as the raw material of tomorrow's memory. A five-member international jury — including Kathy Ryan, recipient of the DGPh's Dr. Erich Salomon Prize 2025 — selects the works by consensus; Wolfgang Zurborn shapes the selection into the final sequence for the large LED wall. The selected works are shown that evening as a slideshow, accompanied by live music; the day after, the slideshow launches online. The format opens the DGPh outward — toward a younger, internationally minded audience — and resonates with the closing weekend of the Anton Corbijn exhibition at Fotografiska.

Looking forward to your thoughts.
