This year's festival invites participants to explore boundaries in a broad sense -- personal, social, cultural, historical, and geographical. Does a boundary always divide, or can it sometimes connect? Creativity often emerges where something is considered "not allowed." This raises the question: do boundaries truly confine us, or, on the contrary, do they set us free?
Four winners of the open call will receive an honorarium of €200, and their works will be exhibited in the open public spaces of Tauragė city. The format of the works will be 70 × 100 cm. The works will be displayed on wooden beams and square exhibition stands.
Submitted works will be evaluated by a three-member jury appointed by the Director of the Tauragė Regional Museum "Santaka." The jury will consist of professionals in photography and other fields of art.
The jury will select up to five photography series, which will be exhibited in public urban spaces and museum exhibitions as part of the KVADRATU Festival.
Each selected artist will receive a creative honorarium of 200 EUR for the preparation and exhibition of their series.
Selected artists will be invited to participate in the public presentation event in Tauragė.
The exhibition setup and related expenses will be organized and covered by the Tauragė Regional Museum "Santaka."
The selected participants and their works will be announced on the museum's website https://tauragesmuziejus.lt, on social media, and in the press. Each selected participant will also be contacted individually.
Works that do not meet technical requirements (e.g., incorrect resolution, visible digital watermarks, or date stamps), are submitted after the deadline, or otherwise fail to comply with these Regulations, will not be evaluated.
Photographs that violate laws or promote religious or ethnic intolerance will not be evaluated.
