Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Carol Körting worked as a freelance photographer before studying photo editing at the Ostkreuz Schule für Fotografie in Berlin, Germany. She has served as photo editor for the renowned Leica Fotografie International Magazine (LFI) and its online platform for over a decade, during which time she has co-produced and edited countless photographic projects. As a professional portfolio reviewer, Körting was part of a team of jurors at numerous photography competitions. In addition, she gives talks, workshops and presentations on photo editing. Diego Ibarra Sánchez is a Spanish photographer based in Lebanon and a regular contributor to The New York Times since 2012, specializing in long-term, immersive projects. He defines himself as a painter of light in times of violence, creating work that transcends pain and turns reality into a form of magical realism, posing new questions about the contemporary world. Author of the acclaimed photobook The Phoenician Collapse (2022), he has covered major global events including the Yazidi genocide, the fall of Mosul’s Caliphate, the war in Ukraine, and crises in Lebanon, Syria, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Awarded internationally, his honors include POY Asia Photographer of the Year 2024, NPPA third place 2025, and a Pulitzer Prize mention in 2023. Through long-term projects like Hijacked Education, he documents the impact of war on schooling and advocates for protecting education in conflict zones worldwide.
Nicolò Filippo Rosso (b. 1985) is a photographer whose work focuses on social, environmental, and humanitarian issues across the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa. He received the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund for Humanistic Photography in 2021 and the Alexia in 2024. His work has also been recognized with two Getty Editorial Grants, seven Pictures of the Year International awards—including the 2024 World Understanding Award—four NPPA Best of Photojournalism awards, a National Magazine Award, the International Photography Award for Photographer of the Year (Deeper Perspective, 2020), two World Report Awards, the Premio Ponchielli, the Prix ANI-PixTrack, and a World Press Photo.
