Eligibility

The contest is open to all people regardless of nationality or residence. Members of the Verzasca Foto Association, sponsors, jury members, and their relatives are excluded from the competition. Artists in recipience of an official invitation to exhibit in the upcoming edition of the Verzasca Foto Festival are excluded from participation.

1. Participants may choose a preferred theme.

2. Participants may submit a personal photographic project with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 images.

3. The images must be submitted as a JPEG, both colour, or monochrome.

4. Both previously exhibited and new projects may be included.

5. Both analogical (scanned from negative or slide) and digitally altered images are allowed. Participants must own the original files and clearly mark any use of AI in the project description.

6. File names that include references to the identity of the participant (first name, last name, nickname) are highly discouraged. In order to confirm your registration, you must enter a title and a short description of your project.

Copyright

By submitting their projects as an entry to the contest, the participant declares to be the sole and exclusive owner of the uploaded photographs.

Use of images

All photographs remain exclusive property of the author. The author authorises the organiser (Verzasca Foto Festival – Associazione Verzasca Foto) to use images for non-commercial purpose, to reproduce and publish them by any means, free of charge and without time limit; in particular, but not as a limiting factor, publishing by the organiser may occur on websites, social networks, printed materials (e.g. flyers, posters, catalogues, etc.) related to the promotion of the Verzasca Foto Festival. Wherever possible and in the occasion of usage, the organiser will endeavour to provide the author with full (author’s name, project title, date of image) or partial (author’s name) image credit.

Responsibility

The sole responsible of the uploaded contents is the user answering this call for entries. The organiser declines any responsibility for the images uploaded by users and possible infringements of copyright. In all circumstances, the participants undertake to release and to free the promoter from any claim, request, responsibility and from any property right or claim by third parties linked to the contents.
