Türkiye Mobile Photography Awards is an international contest designed to promote mobile photography and encourage photographers. Courtesy of Türk Telekom's main sponsorship TMPA is open to photographers of all ages, nationalities, and locations, whether they are new or established, who create valuable works using mobile devices. Our aim is to create an opportunity to showcase valuable works produced with mobile devices to a global audience, appreciate emerging talents, and inspire smartphone users in the field of photography. We aspire to establish a new platform where individuals engaged in photography at professional, amateur, and hobbyist levels can exhibit their diverse and artistic perspectives, enhancing their skills through healthy competition. In our organization, which includes curators, editors, and renowned photographers, we will be awarding a total of $7,000 in prizes, and TMPA invites all photography enthusiasts to exhibit their best work.

What winners receive

TMPA, sponsored primarily by Türk Telekom, offers photography enthusiasts the opportunity to win prizes of up to $7,000. The competition consists of nine categories, and the 'Photographer of the Year' will be honored with a $2,500 'Türk Telekom Grand Prize.' Each category winner will receive a $500 prize. Winners will also be presented with a certificate along with a 1st place gold badge, 2nd place silver badge, and 3rd place bronze badge. The competition's jury acknowledges, appreciates, and rewards talented participants by awarding them a "Honorable Mention."

About TMPA

Türkiye Mobile Photo Awards, TMPA, was established in 2023 and proudly holds the title of being Türkiye's first international photo competition dedicated to mobile photography. In its inaugural year, TMPA aims to create a new platform within its framework, allowing photographers and art enthusiasts to showcase their unique and artistic perspectives through competition. This competition brings together curators, editors, art and culture directors, renowned photographers, and a dedicated volunteer network to foster a space where individuals can not only express their creative visions but also develop their skills.

Judging criteria

Applications submitted to TMPA are evaluated by a panel of expert judges. Each independent jury member assesses all applications based on their originality and artistic merit, categorically, and assigns a rating to each submission. The applications are evaluated on a category-by-category basis. Category winners are determined based on the highest viewability score. The participant with the highest score within a category is named the 'Category Winner.' Among all applications, the participant with the highest score is awarded the 'Grand Prize' and 'Mobile Photographer of the Year.' The competition's jury also recognizes and commends emerging talents by awarding 'Honorable Mentions' to deserving participants.
