Aya Okawa
Photographer and Visual Anthropologist

Aya Okawa is an award-winning aerial and environmental photographer and visual anthropologist who enjoys shooting landscape transformation, abstract patterns, and documenting the interaction of natural and human systems. Her work focuses on themes of interdependence, cycles and systemic patterns. Aya's photographs have been printed in the National Geographic Magazine, the National Geographic book, 'Spectacle,' Natur, Open Skies Magazine, The Washington Post, The Daily Mail, The Guardian and National Geographic Traveller Magazine. Aya was the Grand Prize winner of The Weather Channel, 'It's Amazing Out There' Photo Contest, and her photos have won recognition at the International Photo Awards, Photo District News, Tokyo International Foto Awards, The Big Picture and the California Academy of Sciences and Smithsonian Magazine. Aya believes in the power of imagery to transform perception, and is passionate about exploring the natural world and protecting ecosystems and wild lands.

Christabel Reed is the co-founder & co-director of Earthed & Advaya. Her work, play and rest is energised by a fascination with how we heal our relationship with ourselves, each other, and our environments. For Christabel, the journeys of inner and outer healing cannot be separated. In 2015 Christabel and her sister Ruby started the transformative learning platform Advaya which they still run today, alongside the nature skills platform and charity, Earthed. Earthed is nurturing a peer-driven, mass-mobilised ecosystem restoration movement by giving people access to the skills, networks and funds they need. Her life's purpose is to make nature restoration and personal transformation accessible, and irresistable, to all.

Reece Taylor Williams grew up in Greenburgh, N.Y., and is an editing resident on the Photo desk. He came to The Times from Gothamist, where he was a photo editor. He is an alumnus of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and enjoys making photographs throughout New York City, darkroom printing, road-tripping and listening to many genres of music.

Nicole Archibeque

Co-Founder/Partner, NAVA Contemporary

Based in San Francisco, Nicole Archibeque has worked in the art world for over fourteen years. She spent five years as the program director for RH Contemporary Art, playing a key role in launching the division, working closely with artists, and selecting artwork for the program. Prior to this, she worked for Berggruen Gallery, in San Francisco, was the director of Honor Fraser Gallery, in Los Angeles, as well as Kantor/Feuer Gallery, also in Los Angeles. She feels lucky to have worked with an incredible roster of influential artists and is passionate about offering exposure to emerging and underrepresented artists through NAVA Contemporary.

Daniel is a multi-disciplinary creative strategist with 10+ years experience, working across environment, culture, lifestyle and technology. Daniel has built audiences for renowned brands with inventive visual storytelling and compelling communication strategies. He serves as creative director for SUGi, where he plays an integral role in inspiring The Rewilding Generation.
