Terms and Conditions

10th Singapore International Photography Festival Open Call

Introduction

The 10th Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) is organised by DECK Photography Art Centre Limited (the Organisers). By submitting an application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge the information provided in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section with the submission portal.

These terms and conditions and/or the FAQ section may be modified from time to time and the Organisers reserves the right to change these terms at any time, without prior notice and at its sole discretion. Any changes and updates will be posted on this site.

Eligibility

Anyone is eligible to enter the 10th SIPF Open Call.

Specifications for Submitted Projects

The project must not contain profanity, demeaning representation of sex and violence, or direct attacks on individuals or organisations. Any entries deemed offensive may be disqualified, at the sole discretion of the Organisers.

The project must be an original creation - no copyrighted images may be used.

The participant must certify and warrant that the submitted project(s) does not violate the rights of a third party or any copyright. SIPF is not responsible for intellectual property violations that might have resulted through the submissions of projects.

Rights and Ownership

By submitting their projects to SIPF, shortlisted participants agree to grant SIPF free of charge the right to use the images in any manner and media, including without limitation, the right to publish, adapt, distribute, copy, display or translate in printed or electronic media.

SIPF agrees to mention the full name of the artist and artwork when used in any of the festival collaterals and promotion assets, or other related materials.

Participants may be asked to take part in publicity activities.

General

SIPF reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest or any of the arrangements, schedules, plans or other items directly or indirectly related to the contest, at any time and for any reason if deemed necessary.

The applicant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless the Organisers, its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, directors, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with the applicant's entry and participation in the contest, or the use of the applicant's submitted photograph(s) by the Organisers in accordance with these rules and regulations.

In the event of disputes regarding Terms and Conditions and/or information provided in the FAQ section, the Organisers shall have the right to make the final decision.
