Revela’T Festival program of activities includes a Portfolio Review session, where 18 participants will be able to show their project to 9 of the 11 experts that will be present, coming from the photographic field, gallery owners, curators, festival directors, critics, editors... You will spend 20 minutes with each expert viewer for 3 hours receiving inputs and constructive comments about your work.

General provisions

  1. These bases define the terms and conditions of participation in the Call to participate in the Portfolio Review Call of the Revela'T Festival 2023 (hereinafter: Review Call).

  2. The Contest is organized by the Associació Fotogràfica EspaiFoto. C/Riera de Targa 47, 1 pis, 08339, Vilassar de Dalt, Spain.

  3. Participation in the Review Call is subject to a registration fee.

  4. The objective of the Review Call is to select the 18 most interesting projects that will be part of the IV edition of the Revela'T Festival Portfolio Review, which will take place on June 9, 2023.

  5. The activity will take place in two shifts (morning and afternoon). 18 selected authors coming from this Call, will be able to present, comment and dialogue with nine experts from the photographic field about their project, each meeting with an expert viewer will last twenty minutes, with a total duration of three hours per participant.

Conditions of participation in the Review Call

  1. All those photographers of any nationality, origin, or place of residence, who develop their activity in the field of analog or digital photography, may apply.

  2. Each submitted project will count as one entry. Each photographer can submit more than one project.

  3. Groups or duos may register, but only one individual may participate in the activity.

  4. The works included in the project must be authored by the person who presents, in no case may they be encumbered with third-party rights.

  5. Each participant in the Review Call agrees that the Organizer will use their email address for informational purposes (Newsletter). They can be unsubscribed whenever they want.

  6. Participation in the Review Call is understood as the acceptance of its bases.

  7. Submission of the project:

  • Projects must be submitted before 29.03.2023

  • The participant must follow the registration process according to the form on the website, PICTER. The information regarding the participant and their project included in the form must be as accurate as possible.

  • The PICTER form requests the following information: Regarding the images (between 10 and 15 images, in JPG, at least 1500px per side), regarding the project description (project title, project description, project year ), regarding the author (basic information and biography up to 1500 characters)

  • The participant has the right to receive an invoice, as long as he/she sends the necessary information by email to espaifotografic@gmail.com

  • In any case, changes will be admitted once the submission is sent.

Project evaluation

  1. The deadline for registrations is 29.03.2023

  2. You will find information about the expert viewers on our website and in Picter.

  3. The decisions of the Jury are final and unappealable.

  4. The Jury will not be obliged to justify its decisions or to report on the development of the deliberations.

  5. The fee to participate in the Call is €10 for the Revela'T Friends, and €20 for the general public. Once your project has been accepted and you have been selected as a participant in the activity, you must enter the amount of €100 as a participation fee.

  6. The Revela'T friends discount is not applicable to the participation fee.

The selected authors

  1. Eighteen projects will be selected by the Jury. The organization will reserve the following projects with the best score in the event that a selected participant cannot finally be present at the activity.

  2. The prizes that are given by third parties, will imply a management between the winner and the entity that delivers the prize, without Revela'T having any responsibility or obligation regarding its management.

  3. Each participant can get more than one prize.

  4. A prize may be declared void, if the entity that delivers the prize deems it necessary.

  5. All selected participants will receive a FULL PASS to participate in all the activities and exhibitions of the Revela'T 2023 festival.

  6. The activity will be divided into two shifts: in the morning (10-13h) and in the afternoon (16-19h), you must select the shift that best suits you when submitting the project.

  7. The selected authors must pay the amount of €100 through transfer or PayPal with the details that will be sent to the email provided by the participant. They will have time to make the entry until 04.30.2023, in case of not making said entry, the author's selection will be annulled, and their place will be transferred to the next participant on the list.

  8. The selected authors will review their projects with 9 of the 11 expert viewers. In no case will the selected authors be able to choose which of them they want to review or not with, since the rotation of the experts is random.

  9. Those selected must be present on the agreed day and time at the exact location that will be provided later. The activity will take place in Vilassar de Dalt,(Barcelona), Spain.

  10. The selected authors must present their projects in physical format, the sizes must range between A5 and A3 so that they can be seen comfortably on the tables.

  11. The prizes that can be obtained by participating in the Portfolio Review can be checked in the website (www.revelatfestival.com)

Final provisions

  1. Submissions that do not comply with the rules will not be considered. In any case, the amount of the registration to the Review Call will be refunded. Please read the selection criteria before applying.

  2. The announcements and information related to the Review Call will be published on our social networks (instagram: revelatfestival) and through our newsletter and website (revelatfestival.com)

  3. All correspondence and queries related to the Review Call must be sent by email to: espaifotografic@gmail.com

  • Inform the results to the participants before: 14.04.2023
  1. The Organizer reserves the right to stop, change or extend the Review Call

  2. People who do not meet any of the requirements established in these Bases or provide false information will be automatically eliminated from the Review Call.

  3. Participation in the Review Call by a participant (Project presentation) is equivalent to acceptance of the content of these terms and conditions.

  4. In accordance with Law 34/2002 on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce (LSSI) and with Organic Law 15/1999 on Data Protection (LOPD), the Espaifoto Photographic Association guarantees the security and confidentiality of the personal data provided in this entry. The user is informed and gives his consent to the incorporation of his data to the existing automated files in the Espaifoto Photographic Association and to the automated treatment of the same, for the sending of news of interest about his activities. In any case, the Espaifoto Photographic Association ensures the exercise of rights under the terms established by current legislation.   5. The Organization reserves the right to resolve any circumstance not provided for in these bases, as well as to make changes to the planned program due to force majeure.
