General provisions

  1. These rules define the terms and conditions of participation in the Revela’T Festival 2023 contest (hereinbelow: the Contest).

  2. The Contest is organized by Associació Fotogràfica EspaiFoto. C/Riera de Targa 47, 1 pis, 08339, Vilassar de Dalt, Spain.

  3. Participation in the Contest is subject to a registration fee.

  4. The aim of the Contest is to select the three most interesting projects, which shall be presented in the Contemporary Analog Photography Festival, Revela’T 2023

Terms of participation in the Contest

  1. All those photographers of any nationality, origin, or place of residence, who carry out their activity in both the field of chemical or analog photography, may apply.

  2. This year theme is “Paths” and the projects presented should have any link to it.

  3. Every project submitted will count as a submission. Every photographer can present more than 1 submission.

  4. Projects authored by duets or collectives can also be submitted

  5. Works included in the Project should be authored by the submitting person or persons in the case of duets and collectives, by no means can they be encumbered with third-party rights.

  6. Each participant of the Contest agrees to the Organizer using their e-mail address for information purposes (Newsletter).

  7. Participation in the Contest is understood as accepting its rules.

  8. Submitting the Project:

  • Projects should be submitted by 20.12.2022

  • Project should be submitted on (https://site.picter.com/revelat-paths)

  • The participant shall follow the process of registration according to the form on the website. Information concerning the participant and their project included in the form should be as precise as possible.

  • Participant has a right to receive a VAT invoice, as long as they e-mail the necessary data to espaifotografic@gmail.com

Evaluation of projects

  1. The deadline for submissions is 20.12.2022

  2. You’ll find the jury members on our website and on Picter.

  3. Decisions of the Jury are final and non-appealable.

  4. The Jury will not be obliged to justify their decisions or provide information on the course of deliberations.

  5. The fee to enter a project is 10€ for Revela’T Friends and 20€ for Non-Revela’T Friends.

The winners

1st winner will receive

  • Up to 1500€ in production or transport of the project
  • Travel support to come to the festival during the Main Weekend up to 150€
  • Accomodation for 1 night during the Main Weekend of Revela’T
  • National and International exposure
  • FULL PASS and acces to the exclusive BRUNCH
  • Inclusion in the program of the festival and international promotion
  • Gathering with professionals of the industry during the Main Weekend
  • Media presence

2nd winner will receive

  • Up to 1000€ in production or transport of the project
  • Travel support to come to the festival during the Main Weekend up to 100€
  • Accomodation for 1 night during the Main Weekend of Revela’T
  • National and International exposure
  • FULL PASS and acces to the exclusive BRUNCH
  • Inclusion in the program of the festival and international promotion
  • Gathering with professionals of the industry during the Main Weekend
  • Media presence

3rd winner will receive

  • Up to 500€ in production or transport of the project
  • Travel support to come to the festival during the Main Weekend up to 100€
  • Accomodation for 1 night during the Main Weekend of Revela’T
  • National and International exposure
  • FULL PASS and acces to the exclusive BRUNCH
  • Inclusion in the program of the festival and international promotion
  • Gathering with professionals of the industry during the Main Weekend
  • Media presence

All submitters

  • All the submitters will have the opportunity to exhibit their project on a screening during the whole month of the festival that will take place in the same space as the rest of the exhibitions.
  1. Three projects will be selected by the Jury. The other authors that have reached a good score can be contacted by the Organization to have the opportunity to exhibit at the Festival. In this case, the costs of the production or transport of the project won’t be carried by the festival.

  2. The Organizer does not foresee additional remuneration connected with organizing the exhibition.

  3. The production and transport of the winning projects are decisions that will be taken from the Organization having the last word on it. The organizartion uses to works with collaborations on the production process, the real amount of the work it’s going to be taken into account.

  4. The Organization reserves the right to decide the laboratory, printer, or transport chosen for the winning projects.

  5. The projects that will be produced by Revela’T will be in our itinerant catalog for 2 years. The works will have the opportunity to travel to other galleries and festivals with a fee established of mutual agreement by the author and the organization.

  6. The authors will have the opportunity to sell their work in the festival. The only work that can be sold is the one that will be shown in Revela’T 2023. The organization will charge a 30% fee for administration and management in the case of produced works. And a 50% in the case of the productions made by the festival.

  7. The winners will have a one night stay covered in a host family or in a hotel. That night will be during the Main Weekend of the festival in June 2023.

Final provisions

  1. Submissions that do not comply with the rules shall not be taken into consideration. In any case the open call fee will be returned. Please read the selected criteria consciously before applying.

  2. Announcements and information concerning the Contest will be published in our social media ( instagram: revelatfestival) and through our newsletter and website (revelatfestival.com)

  3. All correspondence and questions concerning the Contest should be sent via e-mail to: espaifotografic@gmail.com

  4. Contest schedule:

  • Announcement of the Contest: 10.11.2022
  • Deadline for submissions: 20.12.2022
  • Informing the Participants about the results by: 06.02.2023
  1. The Organizer reserves the right to stop, change or prolong the Contest in the case of some reasons beyond their control.

  2. The Organizer has a right to cancel the Contest without giving any reason and to not select the winner. In this case, the fee will be returned.

  3. Persons who do not meet any of the requirements stated in these Rules or provide false information shall be automatically eliminated from the Contest.

  4. Entering the Contest by a participant (submitting the Project) is equivalent with accepting the content of these Rules.

  5. In accordance with Law 34/2002 on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce (LSSI) and with Organic Law 15/1999 on Data Protection (LOPD), the Espaifoto Photographic Association guarantees the security and confidentiality of the personal data provided in this entry. The user is informed and gives his consent to the incorporation of his data in the automated files existing in the Espaifoto Photographic Association and to the automated treatment of the same, for the sending of interesting news about his activities. In any case, the Espaifoto Photographic Association ensures the exercise of rights in the terms established by current legislation. If at any time you change your mind, you just have to email espaifotografic@gmail.com

  6. Revela’T Festival reserves the right to cancel scheduled exhibitions or events if the application, in any way, is perceived to have brought the Festival into disrepute. If for any reason the selected applicant is not capable of exhibiting as planned, they should wherever possible give Revela’T Festival at least 2 months' notice prior to the Festival launch in June 2023.

  7. The Organization reserves the right to resolve any circumstance not foreseen in these bases, as well as to make changes to the planned program for reasons of force majeure.
