TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2026
The Rencontres de la Photographie de Marrakech is pleased to announce its international Open Call for artists.
Submission Period
Submissions are open from April 1, 2026, to May 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM Central European Time (UTC+1).
Selection Process
An international jury will evaluate all submissions and select up to 20 winners and 30 finalists based on the artistic quality and originality of their proposals. Artists will be notified via email by June 12, 2026, and the results will be published on our website (rencontres-photos.com) by the end of June. Each jury member will review submissions independently. The jury's decision is final and not subject to appeal.
Awards and Exhibitions
20 Winners

Each winner will exhibit 5 photographs of their choice in the group show The Language of Pictures, part of the Festival OFF d'Arles. The exhibition will be held at a new gallery space located at 12 Rue Jouvene, Arles, scheduled to open in April 2026 under the name Galerie Triptyque. It will run from July 3 to July 20.

They will also present a short video (max 3 minutes) introducing their series during the upcoming edition of the Rencontres de la Photographie de Marrakech, from October 7 to 10, 2026.

Each winner's full series will be published on the Festival's official platform (www.rencontres-photos.com).
30 Finalists

Finalists will have the opportunity to present a short video (max 2 minutes) introducing their work during the upcoming edition of the Rencontres de la Photographie de Marrakech..

Their complete photographic series will also be published on the Festival's website.
Submission Guidelines

Each project must include 10 to 20 images.

Only photographic works are eligible.

There is no restriction on the creation date of the images.

Artists may submit multiple projects, but each must be submitted separately.

Submissions must be made through Picter, and all required information must be provided. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Fees

A €15 submission fee applies per project.

Fees are non-refundable, regardless of selection outcome or unforeseen circumstances.
Copyright and Usage Rights

Artists retain full copyright of their submitted work.

The Festival will always credit the artist's name in any use of the work.

Submitted images may be used for promotional, digital, print, and broadcast purposes related to the Festival, without additional compensation.

By submitting, artists confirm they own the rights to the images and that their work does not infringe on third-party rights.

Voix Plurielles curates Les Rencontres de la Photographie de Marrakech. Cultures Nomades Production co-produces the festival and collaborates with the OFFs of Les Rencontres d'Arles.
Funding and Production
All collected fees support the production and promotion of the Festival and participating artists. The Festival covers the costs of exhibition and video screenings.
Archiving
Exhibited works will remain in the Festival's secure archive, to be used only for archival purposes or potential future exhibitions. Artists will be informed of any such uses.
Amendments
The Festival reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on the Festival's website.
