The Centre for British Photography is delighted to announce the third year of our grants programme, supporting artists working with photography across Britain.
These are not support grants but are awards to enable photographers and artists working with photography to bring an ongoing project to completion within a year. They are open to individuals of all ages, irrespective of academic background.
This year’s submission deadline is March 1, 2026.
An award which will be used by the applicant to complete the project within a year. Recipients of the Centre's Realisation Grants will also have the opportunity for sessions of expert mentorship from the team and trustees of the Centre for British Photography.
Our annual realisation grants have been immensely successful and we are now increasing the amounts awarded. Applicants may now apply for awards from £2,000 up to £4,000. The amount awarded will be at the discretion of the judges.

The Centre for British Photography (registered charity number 1190955) was founded in 2020 and seeks to support photographers working in Britain through exhibitions, events, grants and mentoring. The charity provides a platform for a range of voices in order to present an expansive overview of the diversity of photography, past and present. Major supporters include the Broccoli Foundation and the Hyman Collection.
