Marwan Kaabour is a graphic designer, artist and writer. His interdisciplinary practice builds pathways between communication and publication design, curation, pedagogy and political activism. Alongside his independent projects, he works with non-profit institutions, companies and individuals in arts and culture sectors. In 2019, Marwan founded Takweer, an online platform and expanding archive of queer narratives in Arab history and popular culture. His debut book, The Queer Arab Glossary, was published in June 2024. Marwan moved from his hometown Beirut to London in 2011 to pursue a master's degree in Graphic Design, before joining renowned design agency Barnbrook. Photographer and art director Kary Kwok documented self-portraits and captured queer nightlife across Hong Kong and London in the 1980s and 1990s. Released for the first time since the 1990s, his photographs from Then/Now memorialise the vibrant, gender fluid representations of the time. Mackenzie Calle is a documentary photographer and National Geographic Explorer based in Brooklyn. Her work typically blurs the line between fact and fiction to explore long-term stories that investigate systems of power, science, and queer issues. Led by extensive research, she is focused on projects that utilize archival material, original photography, and multimedia approaches to illuminate overlooked, erased, or forgotten pasts and imagine the possibilities for our future. Her work has been recognized by institutions that include World Press Photo, Magnum Foundation, and the Sony World Photography Awards. Mackenzie is a member of Women Photograph and a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and ICP’s Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism program. Alexandra Obochi is a self-taught Nigerian photographer, creative director, and multidisciplinary creative based in Abuja Nigeria. Her work explores identity, queerness, heritage, and the beauty of everyday people, often centering dark skin and afrocentric ideals. Alexandra aims to create spaces of visibility and belonging for marginalized communities. Her photography has been featured in many exhibitions across the world, panel discussions, and inclusive creative projects, and she continues to use art as a tool for resilience and storytelling in a challenging social environment.
