The Preus Museum Open Call reserves the right to reject entries that are submitted without the required information, or that do not meet the criteria of eligibility, without any obligation to enter into any further discussion regarding curator's decisions.

1. Ownership

Submissions made must be from the sole owner of the image. To reproduce photographic images without the permission of the photographer is a breach of copyright rules. We accept submitted images on a basis of trust and must assume permission is implicit. Submissions after the submission period will not be taken into consideration. It is vital that the photographer obtains the permission of the client and/or the copyright holder and any relevant model release forms, where appropriate before submitting the work.

2. Copyright

The copyright of all images submitted remains with the copyright holder, and the photographer has the right to submit the work for selection, exhibition and/or publication and grants all required licenses. Preus Museum Open Call reserves the right to use any of the images submitted, without payment, for display and publicity purposes for this and future Preus Museum Open Call projects. The artists grant to the Preus Museum Open Call a worldwide, irrevocable, and perpetual license to reproduce representative examples of the submitted entries in any of their publications, websites, and/or in any promotional material, strictly in connection with the Preus Museum Open Call projects, and with reference to the photographer as relevant in each case.

3. Dismantling

When the event is finished, the photographer can dismantle and collect their photos. If the photographer doesn't collect the photos, they will automatically become the property of the association, and they will be maculated unless otherwise agreed. There is no guarantee for the condition of the photos.

4. Printing costs

The photographer must cover all printing and transportation costs if his or her works are selected for the Preus Museum Open Call. For international submitters, Preus Museum Open Call will provide printing and mounting.

Preus Museum Open Call and Picter will not publish, share, or redistribute any of the Work to any individuals or organizations external to us for the duration of the submission process or post-submission process.

Exhibition

Preus Museum Open Call reserves complete creative control over the exhibition's design. More about the venue and the exhibition design will be published here: https://preusmuseum.no/en/preus-museum-open-call
