Senior Lecturer in Aesthetics and Art Theory (University of Vigo). He holds a PhD in Philosophy (Autonomous University of Madrid) and a Master’s degree in Aesthetics and Art Theory (Institute of Aesthetics and Art Theory, Autonomous University of Madrid). He was Director of the Luis Seoane Foundation in A Coruña (2008–2011), co-edits the Larva series (Maia-Abada Publishers) and was curator of the Spanish Pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale. His publications include, amongst others, the books: Las horas bellas. Escritos sobre cine (2016), La ciudad desnuda (2019) and El espacio salvado. Álbum de imágenes (2025). He has curated solo exhibitions by Luis Seoane, Antón Lamazares, Xesús Vázquez and Manuel Vilariño, as well as group exhibitions including: La Isla Futura: arte joven cubano; Arte y nihilismo; Dónde estarán las nieves de antaño; and the exhibitions Georges Perec, Andrei Tarkovski: fidelidad a una obsesión and Cabañas para pensar.

She is a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and at IPCI (Institute of Cultural Production and Image). She is the founder of Rampa 125 – Associação Cultural, where she serves as project coordinator and director. Her recent curatorial projects include Zapping – Televisão como Cultura e Contracultura (Centro de Arte Oliva, 2026), SAM!24 (Salut au Monde!) (2024–2025), Desnaturadas (Rampa, 2025) and Evas (Kubikgallery, 2024). Her research focuses on photography and video, addressing their historical and socio-political dimensions. She is currently a member of the research team for the project A Imagem em Movimento na Arte Portuguesa (1950–2010) (i2ADS, 2024–2026).

He holds a degree in Information Sciences and has worked as a photojournalist since 1995 for newspapers including Diario Vasco, El Correo and Qué!. In 2011, he completed the Master's Degree in New Documentary Photography at EFTI. He is the director of Clavoardiendo, Spain's leading magazine dedicated to authorial photography, and founder of Clavoardiendo Magazine. As an editor, he oversaw the publication of Elogio de la mirada by Carmen Dalmau, one of the most significant essays on photography of the past decade. He has participated in numerous festivals and competitions as a portfolio reviewer, jury member, lecturer, curator and organiser. His approach to photography is open, socially engaged and deeply rooted in enjoyment.

He was Artistic Director of the festivals Encontros da Imagem (Portugal) and Outono Fotográfico (Galicia), and is co-founder and curator of the Galicia Contemporary Photography Award. He has curated more than two hundred exhibitions and collaborated with festivals, galleries and cultural institutions across Galicia, Portugal, Spain and Brazil. He is currently Academic Director of IPCI (Institute of Cultural Production and Image), where he also lectures in Curatorial Studies in the Master's Degree in Artistic Photography, and is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. As an editor, he has coordinated the editorial production of several photobooks, including a number of titles in the OF collection published by Difusora de Letras, Artes e Ideas. He is the author of publications on photography and regularly writes criticism and essays on contemporary visual culture.

He is president of the Outono Fotográfico Association, was director of the Outono Fotográfico festival until its demise, and co-founder of the Galicia Prize for Contemporary Photography. He is creative director of Disigna Edenia Buldin and of the cultural and publishing imprint Difusora de Letras, Artes e Ideas. As a designer, he has developed projects ranging from advertising to ephemeral commercial architecture and corporate design, through to signage and exhibition furniture. As a curator and cultural activist, he has promoted numerous exhibitions, some derived from photographic essays by the Prize itself and others related to the dissemination of Galician culture. He has designed and edited more than 100 photography and art publications.. He is a visual artist with a special interest in the photographic medium.

She is Director of the Provincial Museum Network of Lugo and teaches in the Master's Degree in Cultural Services at the University of Santiago de Compostela and in the Specialist Programme for Cultural Environment Assistants at the University of Málaga. She is a member of the Technical Committee for Cultural Management and Cultural Policies of the Galician Council of Culture, the Advisory Board of the Faculty of Humanities in Lugo, and the Honorary Committee of the ONCE Foundation Contemporary Art Biennial. She serves on the jury of the Galicia Contemporary Photography Award as the representative of the Vice-Presidency of the Provincial Council of Lugo.

With a degree in Fine Arts and a Master's in the Restoration, Rehabilitation and Management of Artistic Cultural Heritage, she has been the Director of the Ourense Municipal Museum since 2004, and from 2007, the Technical Director of Exhibition Spaces and Museum Areas for the Ourense City Council. She is also a tutor and an external placement tutor at the Faculty of History of the University of Vigo. She has managed, directed and created catalogues and other publications, as well as coordinating the artistic aspects of projects. She is also an advisor on the management of donations and loans for collections.She serves on the jury of the Galicia Contemporary Photography Award as the representative of the Xunta de Galicia

Xavier Riomao is a visual artist, PhD and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca. His career encompasses sculpture, painting, printmaking, photography and installation, forming a diverse and reflective body of work. In addition to his artistic practice, he has developed an extensive career as a gallerist – he currently runs SedeArte – collector, art critic and lecturer at the University of Vigo, and is currently the director of the Alterarte gallery on the Ourense campus. She serves on the jury of the Galicia Contemporary Photography Award as the representative of the Campus de Ourense, University of Vigo

He is a member of the Ourense Photographic Association and has collaborated with the Ateneo de Ourense, maintaining a close relationship with the Outono Fotográfico festival since its first edition in 1983. He is a founding member of the Outono Fotográfico Association and promoter of Falando en prata, a festival dedicated to analogue photography. He has also undertaken specialised training in the conservation of graphic and documentary heritage. He serves as Secretary of the Jury of the Galicia Contemporary Photography Award.
