Application Requirements: - The application consists of 10 - 20 work samples of a cohesive body of work, a detailed proposal, artist statement, and resume. - The application is FREE. - Submissions are reviewed once a year by a rotating panel of arts professionals suggested by Penumbra Workspace Program Advisory Board and the Director of Programs that will decide based on supplied materials and feasibility of the applicant’s proposal. - Applicants may use any photographic process, including cross and transdisciplinary approaches. - Artists must be US-based and can not be enrolled in a matriculating, academic program (undergraduate or graduate) during the time of their residency. However, current students who graduate before the start date of their residency may apply. - The Letter of Intent is a space for the applicant to describe how they intend utilize the residency time and facilities for their own practice and projects. Do not include ideas for workshops, talks, or exhibitions desired to be done in conjunction with Penumbra. - Please carefully read the instructions in the application form. Applications that are incomplete or do not conform to the requirements will not be considered.
