Professional Baseball Photographers’ Association Celebrating the Best Baseball Images of the Year.

The Professional Baseball Photographers’ Association looks to recognize the greatest baseball images of the year. PBPA Members and non-members may enter their work completed during the 2024 calendar year in a variety of categories.

Prizes

One Grand Prize winner. The overall Portfolio Category Winner will receive a Sony Alpha A9 III Camera Body and 70-200mm lens courtesy of Sony.

About Professional Baseball Photographers’ Association (PBPA)

Founded in 2023, the mission of the Professional Baseball Photographers’ Association (PBPA), a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, is to support those that make a living capturing images of America’s pastime at all levels. Furthermore, the PBPA seeks to create a community and provide resources to its members while helping establish a code of conduct and best practices to successfully complete their jobs and further the craft.

The Judging Process

• The Judges will select images based upon technical skill, diversity, originality, and creativity of composition.

• Judging will be conducted anonymously and impartially.

• Judges will assess entries and choose the winners.

• Shortlisted images may need to provide an extended caption, RAW file or other information.

• The winners will be notified by email and a list of the winners will be published on March 3

• The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

• RAW or Original Camera files will be requested for finalists. Images that are out of the bound of journalistic integrity will be disqualified. 

• PBPA will not have any role in the image judging process.
