The Mutant grant aims to support emerging and established photographers by providing financial assistance to kickstart new projects or continue ongoing work. Among the submissions we will pick one winner who will receive the grant. The top 10 submissions will also have the opportunity to be exhibited in a 4 week exhibition at the AMARi Bar connected to the Kunstlabor 2 building in Munich, an upcoming location for art exhibitions, graffiti art and creatives. https://kunstlabor.org/en/
800 EUR
Based on feedback from the first submissions, we realized that many have accidentally posted the wrong shared link. Please watch this short video in addition to make sure you get the right link pasted here into the form in Picter.
MUTANT is a tech start-up from Munich, Germany. We create tools to manage and send multimedia files. One of these tools is a visual version of Wetransfer specializing on images, a way to send 100s of high resolution images to others via a ‘contact sheet’, a high resolution version of your even higher resolution photos, but in a more visual way. In short, we create tools for creatives and power users, and photographers are one demographic that we love to create software for.
All entries will be judged by a panel of professional photographers in the field.
The AMARi Bar is located in Munich next to the Art Galleries of Kunstlabor 2, a space hosting over 30 permanent exhibitions by diverse artists. At a huge indoor and outdoor space the team of the Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art (MUCA) manages a new centre for art and culture in Munich. We would exhibit selected works from our favorite 10 photographers, creating the exhibition together with the artists, and displaying their work for a period of 4 weeks.
The Kunstlabor 2 is connected to the AMARi Bar and we would promote the exhibition together with Kunstlabor 2.
The exhibition will be kicked off with one of our Testpress events, an open deck vinyl event https://www.instagram.com/testpress.mutant/ that gives vinyl DJs a place to experiment with their new tracks and records in an environment connected to arts and good gastronomy.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing your work!
