Terms and Conditions

Each selected laureate commit to:

  • Produce a photographic work that will be delivered to the musée du quai Branly -- Jacques Chirac in very high-definition digital files (or any other format). This work will be kept confidential to the public until their entrance in the museum collections.

  • Produce a multimedia program or « making of » of the residency (between 3 and 12 minutes) illustrating and explaining the field process and giving keys to understand the work.

  • Travel to Paris for a maximum period of 12 days to carry out the physical production of their photographic work, during the periods indicated in this call for applications.

  • Accept that a set of signed and numbered photographic pieces, selected from the photographic work financed, may enter the collections of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. Entry into the museum's collections will be subject to a decision by the museum's Acquisitions Committee.

  • Grant to the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, on a non-exclusive basis, the rights to reproduce and represent these photographic pieces, which may be used within the framework of the activities and missions of the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac and its partners, on a non-commercial basis.

I declare that I am responsible for the items sent to the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac via the Picter platform. To this end, I declare that I have accepted the conditions for the use of personal data on the Picter platform, which can be accessed on the www.picter.com/privacy-policy website, and that I cannot hold the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac responsible in this respect.

I accept that the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac may record and process the personal data that I have just entered on this form and in the documents provided. I note that my data will be processed for the following purpose(s):

  • Management and follow-up of applications for the 'Photography Award' programme

  • Selection of winners

  • Production of statistics

The Etablissement public du musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, the data controller, uses personal data to manage and monitor applications for its 'Photography Award' programme, to select the winners and to compile statistics. This processing is based on your consent. Please note that you may withdraw your consent at any time by sending a request to our Data Protection Officer. The data recorded is intended for the authorised departments of the Etablissement and for the jury selecting the winners. It is kept in an active database for a maximum of 2 years after the winners of the competition have been announced and is then archived for scientific research purposes.  

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, as amended, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, known as the 'RGPD', you have the right to access, rectify, object to, limit, port and delete your data. You may also define advance directives on the processing of your personal data post mortem.

If you wish to exercise your rights, you must send a letter to the Etablissement's Data Protection Officer, together with a photocopy of your identity document, to the following postal address: Etablissement public du musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac - Service juridique et des achats - 222, rue de l'Université, CS 60851, 75281 Paris cedex 07, or to the following e-mail address: cnil@quaibranly.fr.En. If you do not receive a satisfactory reply, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the supervisory authority responsible for ensuring compliance with obligations relating to the protection of personal data.
