Robin Hinsch (born 1987) from Berlin is an artist and freelance photographer. He studied photography at the HfG Karlsruhe under Prof. Elger Esser, at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover, and completed his master's degree under Prof. Vincent Kohlbecher in Hamburg. His work has been published in The Guardian, Der Spiegel, Sunday Times Magazine, ZEITmagazin and SZ Magazin. Exhibitions have taken him to the Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo, the Fondation Gulbenkian Calouste in Paris and the House of Photography in Hamburg, among others. He has been awarded the International Photo Award, the European Exhibition Award, the Sony World Photography Award and the Georg Koppmann Prize. He has been a member of the German Photographic Academy since 2016 and an appointed member of the German Society for Photography since 2024. His book Wahala (Gost Books) was published in 2022, followed by Lonely Are All the Bridges in 2025. He has been a professor of artistic photography since 2024.
Sara-Lena Maierhofer (born 1982, Germany) is a visual artist working with photography and archival materials, sometimes expanding her installations through other media. She treats photography as a means to explore the past and present of memory and identity, blending approaches and ideas from both analogue and digital photography. She graduated in 2011 with a degree in Photography and Media Art from the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld. Her work has been exhibited at Museum für Fotografie in Berlin, FOAM Museum for Photography in Amsterdam, ZKM – Zentrum für Kunst und Medien in Karlsruhe, C/O Berlin, and Deichtorhallen in Hamburg, and is part of several permanent collections. She has been awarded the DZ Bank Projektstipendium für künstlerische Fotografie and the Dokumentarfotografie Förderpreis Wüstenrot Stiftung, as well as receiving working grants from Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn and the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg. Since 2025, she has been Professor of Photography at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Department of Design.
Ute Noll is a curator, magazine editor, and exhibition organiser. In 2007, she established her own gallery, UNO ART SPACE, in Stuttgart. She has been teaching at design and art colleges for over 20 years. Simultaneously, she has worked as a freelance magazine editor for more than two decades, since 2013 for the Swiss magazine Du, which concentrates on art, culture, and modern life. Since 2025, she has also been responsible for a monthly interview series in Photonews magazine, where she profiles personalities from the fields of art and photography. Her focus is on projects with an unconventional approach to topics and the medium of photography. She explores her work internationally—at photo festivals, portfolio reviews, and on juries—and also offers one-on-one coaching and workshops with artists and photographers to help them develop their projects.
Marcel Rauschkolb (born 1965, Germany) is a freelance photographer and designer. He works across photography, film, and audiovisual media, engaging in both artistic and commissioned projects. His artistic work often examines overlooked aspects of everyday life and topics with historical references. He trained as an advertising and industrial photographer, complemented by many years of experience as a graphic designer, and holds an MA (dist.) in photography from Falmouth University. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany, the UK, and Italy.
Kris Scholz earned his doctorate in sociology from Heinrich Heine University before studying photography under Bernd Becher at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1984 to 1990. After teaching in Barcelona, Canterbury, Winchester, and Düsseldorf, he was a professor of photography at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences from 2005 to 2021. From 2017 to 2021, he held visiting professorships in Wuhan, Beijing, and Xi'an. Between 2017 and 2018, he led the project »Beyond the Sphere of Reproduction«, which included exhibitions at the Whitebox Art Centre 798 in Beijing, the Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art in Chongqing, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sanya, the Städtische Galerie Kubus in Hanover, the Städtische Galerie Bietigheim-Bissingen, and the Städtische Galerie Iserlohn. From 2019 to 2021, he directed the project »Bauhaus and Photography – New Vision in Contemporary Art« with exhibitions at the NRW Forum Düsseldorf, the Museum für Fotografie Berlin, and the Kunsthalle Darmstadt. His often large-format works have been exhibited internationally in solo and group shows. In addition to being featured in numerous publications, the monographs »Kris Scholz Photography« (2002) and »The Silent View« (2004) have been published.
Gregor Schuster (DGPh) has been working as a freelance photographer and artist since 1987. In addition to his work in various areas of commercial photography, he consistently pursues an artistic practice that has earned him numerous awards. His work has been exhibited in many national and international exhibitions and festivals. Since 2005, he has also served as co-curator of the »Darmstadt Days of Photography«.
