  2. Fill out the registration form with the following information: last name, first name, email address, telephone number, region, city, camera or device used
  3. Upload an original photograph taken with a camera or using the Leica LUX app.

Entries are open from April 15, 2025 to May 30, 2025.

Submitted photographs must not have been manipulated or modified, except for standard image optimizations such as colour intensity or cropping.

Photographs generated by artificial intelligence tools are strictly prohibited.

ARTICLE 4 – ETHICAL RULES AND RESPONSIBILITY

The participant certifies and guarantees:

  • To be the exclusive author of the submitted photograph,
  • To hold all intellectual property rights to this work,
  • Not to impersonate anyone or submit content they did not create,

ARTICLE 5 – TRANSFER OF EXPLOITATION RIGHTS

By participating, the Participant:

  • Grants free of charge to the Organising Company, for a duration of 18 months, worldwide, the rights to exploit the submitted photograph (reproduction, representation, adaptation, modification, distribution on any known or unknown media),
  • Expressly authorizes the use of their photo in any context related to communication about the call for entries and the Leica Tour: event, exhibition, printed materials, social media, website, videos, newsletters, press materials, POS, internal or external promotional campaigns.

The participant waives any present or future claim or compensation and authorizes the use of their photograph without media restriction or obligation of notification.

Any request for withdrawal of an already published photograph must be addressed in writing to the Organising Company. The Organising Company will make its best efforts to delete digital distribution within a reasonable time but cannot be held responsible for printed or already published materials.

Each photograph will be credited by mentioning either the name or, if explicitly requested, the pseudonym (artist name) of the photographer.

ARTICLE 6 – SELECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS

Although the event’s promise is to highlight the largest number of participants, the Organising Company reserves the right to:

  • Limit to 2,000 the number of photographs exhibited in the main format of the event,
  • Showcase other contributions via digital installations (e.g., projections, immersive setups, black box…),
  • Make an editorial, artistic, technical, or ethical selection.

No guarantee is given regarding the actual use of submitted photographs.

Files must meet a minimum quality level (resolution, format) to allow proper use. If the file does not meet technical requirements, the Organising Company reserves the right to refuse the use of the image.

ARTICLE 7 – CREATIVE FRAMEWORK: "UNIQUE PERSPECTIVES"

The theme of this call for entries is titled “Unique Perspectives”.

It invites each participant to submit a photograph that goes beyond the simple everyday snapshot. This theme offers a wide field of interpretation, while encouraging a personal, thoughtful, and creative vision.

The word “perspective” may be understood in different ways:

  • In the photographic sense: the chosen viewpoint, framing, depth, vanishing lines, plays of planes or light.
  • In the figurative sense: a vision of the world, a sensitive reading of a situation, an emotional or symbolic interpretation of a subject.

The word “unique” refers to what is unique, different, out of the ordinary, marked by a personal intention. A singular perspective may be surprising, poetic, quirky, intimate, or conceptual — it above all reflects the photographer’s viewpoint.

This theme aims to stimulate everyone’s creativity, encouraging attention to composition, meaning, feeling, and originality of vision. The goal is not technical perfection, but rather the expression of a personal point of view through the image.

ARTICLE 8 – ACCEPTED IMAGE FORMATS

Only rectangular images with a 4:3 (3:4) or 3:2 (2:3) ratio will be accepted.

This requirement pays tribute to the brand’s heritage: Leica is the inventor of the small-format camera using 35 mm film, a historic standard corresponding approximately to the 3:2 ratio. This format revolutionized modern photography by making the practice more mobile, spontaneous, and artistic. The 4:3 format also belongs to this classic photographic tradition.

In line with Leica’s identity and the spirit of this centennial celebration, we ask that all submitted works adhere to these iconic formats, which reflect an aesthetic true to the brand’s legacy.

  • Minimum resolution: 300 dpi, i.e. 1500 x 2350 px
  • Recommended JPEG file size: at least 2.5 MB

Once the subscription is completed, no edit can be made.

ARTICLE 9 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Organising Company disclaims all liability:

  • For technical errors or failures affecting the upload or access to the platform,
  • In case of content loss, upload failure, or incomplete submission,
  • For unauthorized use by third parties of photographs published on public channels,
  • For any direct or indirect damage related to participation or the publication of content.

The participant agrees to indemnify the Organising Company for any claim, lawsuit, or damage (notably related to copyright or image rights) resulting from their participation.

ARTICLE 10 – EVENT INVITATION

Any validated participation will entitle the participant to a personal invitation to one of the dates of the Leica Tour.

Participants may also invite one or more relatives to discover the event via a referral form (subject to availability).

ARTICLE 11 – PERSONAL DATA

The personal data collected is processed exclusively by:

  • The Organising Company, Leica Camera France,
  • The technical provider in charge of the submission platform, Picter,
  • The agency responsible for event communication, agence Saendwich.

All personal data of participants is processed and used by Leica in accordance with applicable legal provisions. It will only be used as part of the communication around the Leica Tour, unless participants subscribe to the Leica Camera newsletter.

For more information, please consult our Data Protection Policy.

ARTICLE 12 – MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION

The Organising Company reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the operation at any time, notably in cases of force majeure or exceptional circumstances.

Any modification to these rules will be updated on the platform.

ARTICLE 13 – APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These rules are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute or disagreement, the parties will attempt to resolve the issue amicably. Failing this, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Paris.

ARTICLE 14 – TOUR IN FRANCE

As part of the celebration of the brand’s 100th anniversary, five events will be organised in various cities (Paris, Lyon, Lille, Marseille, Bordeaux) between June 2025 and April 2026.

Photographs selected for these events may vary from one city to another, based on technical, scenographic or editorial criteria.

The Organising Company therefore reserves the right to constitute a different selection for each event, without this being subject to challenge by participants.

ARTICLE 15 – REWARD

Your work will be exhibited as part of the Leica Tour at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris) and/or in partner galleries in Lille, Lyon, Marseille et Bordeaux.

You will also receive an exclusive code for several months' free access to the Leica LUX app, so you can continue to explore your creativity with Leica.
