Article 1 - Purpose

The competition is organized by the association ASOC INTERNACIONAL DE FOTO INCADAQUES, whose registered office is located at Paraje de Saguarda s/n - Carretera de Port Lligat - 17488 Cadaqués, Girona, Spain. The InCadaqués Open Call is organized as part of InCadaqués Photo Festival, which will take place from October 8 to 25, 2026.

Article 2 - Organization and dates of the competition

The competition is open until July 17, 2026, at midnight. The application deadline may be extended by up to two weeks.

No applications will be accepted after the final deadline. The winners will be announced in August 2026 on our website.

Article 3 - Eligibility requirements

Participation in the competition is open to everyone. Applications may be submitted individually or collectively. However, if a collective project wins the First Prize, the competition will only cover the travel and accommodation costs of one person representing the collective during the Festival.

Each photographer or collective may submit only one series per application.

Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these rules and the waiver of any appeal against decisions made by the organizers.

Any incomplete entry, entry submitted after the deadline, or entry submitted in a format other than the one required will be considered invalid.

Article 4 - Terms of participation

The InCadaqués competition is an online competition; all applications must be submitted digitally. By submitting a project, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Applications may be submitted via the picter.com platform. All submission data processed via Picter will be handled in accordance with its own privacy policies.

Article 5 - Use of the participant's works and intellectual property

The photographer retains the right to respect for their name, authorship and work.

The participant is informed that participation in the competition implies authorization granted to InCadaqués Photo Festival, the InCadaqués Open Call, InPhoto Festival, and their sponsors or partners, to use their images for non-commercial purposes and throughout the duration of the competition and the festival.

This use may include promotional prints, websites, social media, media and press coverage, whether printed or digital, and exclusively for the promotion of the competition and the festival.

Any other use must be requested from the author.

Article 6 - Liability

Participant's liability

The participant assumes full responsibility for the content of the images submitted to the organizers.

The participant undertakes to submit photographs that respect the intellectual property rights of third parties, comply with all applicable legislation, and are, in general, consistent with public order and accepted standards of morality.

Organizers' liability

The organizers will take all necessary measures to enforce these rules but cannot be held responsible if the competition is modified, postponed or cancelled, even without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.

The organizers cannot be held liable for damages of any kind caused to the participant or to any other natural or legal person as a result of the production of the photographs submitted to the competition.

Article 7 - Selection of winners, jury and benefits

Each candidate will receive a score from the members of the jury, based on a shortlist of 100 preselected candidates. The candidate with the highest score will be selected as the winner, while the following 14 candidates will be selected as finalists.

Two additional parallel selections will be organized for applications that meet the criteria of the different proposed awards.

The jury is composed of various experts in the field, including gallerists, company directors, representatives of foundations or institutions, as well as the winner of the previous year's competition. The jury's decision is final and cannot be appealed. No correspondence regarding the results will be entered into.

First Prize

The First Prize includes the exhibition of a series of 10 to 15 photographs during InCadaqués Photo Festival. Printing costs, accommodation during the opening weekend from October 8 to 11, 2026, as well as transportation, will be covered by the Festival, up to a maximum amount of €500. A VIP pass will also be offered.

The First Prize also includes a €1,000 cash prize. Please note that the cash prize can only be paid upon presentation of an invoice including all taxes and charges, for a total amount of €1,000, minus any bank charges applicable in the destination country.

The invoice must be sent to the Festival no later than September 15, 2026. After this date, payment cannot be guaranteed.

14 runners-up

A selection of 3 images by each finalist will be exhibited during the Festival.

Printing costs will be covered by the Festival. A VIP pass will also be offered to each finalist.

Each runner-up will receive a €150 cash prize. Please note that the cash prize can only be paid upon presentation of an invoice including all taxes and charges, for a total amount of €150, minus any bank charges applicable in the destination country.

The invoice must be sent to the Festival no later than September 15, 2026. After this date, payment cannot be guaranteed.

All prints for the exhibition will be produced by Granon Digital, partner of the Festival.

The exhibition space during the Festival may also be dedicated to the presentation of the selected photographers' portfolios, should they wish to present them.

Special Mention

The Special Mention includes the exhibition of a series of 10 to 20 photographs during InCadaqués Photo Festival.

Accommodation during the opening weekend from October 8 to 11, 2026, will be provided by the Festival.

The Special Mention also includes a €300 cash prize. Please note that the cash prize can only be paid upon presentation of an invoice including all taxes and charges, for a total amount of €300, minus any bank charges applicable in the destination country.

The invoice must be sent to the Festival no later than September 15, 2026. After this date, payment cannot be guaranteed.

Instagram Contest Prize

Pending the final selection of the competition winners by the jury, a shortlist of "favorite" photographs will be published on our Instagram account and social media channels.

The two images receiving the highest number of likes will be published in the 2026 InCadaqués Risography catalogue.

All exhibited prints may be offered for sale during the Festival at a price agreed in advance with the organizers, should the artist wish to do so.

Article 8 - Personal data

In accordance with applicable laws relating to data protection and personal data processing, participants in this competition have the right to access, modify, rectify and delete the data concerning them.
