The aim of the grant is to support photographic explorations of nature, landscape and environment that advance the field of nature photography.The grant is open to all photographers. The applicant must be a citizen of a Nordic country (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland), or a citizen of another country who is permanently resident in a Nordic country Applications can be submitted by individuals or groups.The grant amounts to SEK 100,000.
In the evaluation process, particular emphasis is placed on originality and creativity, as well as on the project’s focus on environmental aspects, critical perspectives, biodiversity and the human impact on nature and climate. Collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged
The Hasselblad Foundation was established by Erna and Victor Hasselblad in 1979 with the aim of supporting research and academic teaching in the natural sciences and photography. This is achieved by awarding grants and stipends to the natural sciences and photography, the prestigious Hasselblad Award and stipends and grants to research projects in photography.
