Adrian Evans is based in London, UK and the director of Panos Pictures. He worked as a freelance graphic designer for three years after college before moving into photography at the Hutchison archive. In 1990 he joined Panos Pictures as Archive Director, buying a controlling stake in the agency in 1997. Under his direction Panos Pictures has become the pre-eminent photo agency for concerned photojournalism. Evans has also judged numerous photo competitions including the World Press Photo Award, the China International Press Photo Contest and Russia Press Photo. He has acted as a consultant on visual communications to a number of NGOs and has lectured on the subject at London College of Communications, University of Westminster and London School of Economics.

Alessia Glaviano is the Head of Global PhotoVogue and Director of the PhotoVogue Festival. Glaviano is a leading figure in the panorama of international photographic criticism. In 2011 Glaviano launched PhotoVogue, an innovative platform on which users can share their own photographs knowing they can rely on the curatorial supervision of professional photo editors. In her 20-plus years with Condé Nast, in addition to launching and overseeing PhotoVogue, Alessia has also driven select special events and curated exhibitions in prestigious museums and institutions with some of the most important artists of our times; developed Vogue Italia’s Instagram strategy; curated a series of Masters of Photography video interviews; and led the art direction of numerous digital branded-content projects, such as Gucci beauty's iconic story featuring Ellie Goldstein. Besides the editorial activity, Alessia holds lectures and conferences on a regular basis. Some of the institutes and universities she was invited as guest lecturer include: University of Brighton, Central Saint Martins, IED, Bocconi University and the Milan Polytechnic. Glaviano was invited to participate as jury member in numerous internationally acclaimed photography contests including the World Press Photo, the Festival International de Mode et de Photographie à Hyères and the Leica Oskar Barnack Award; and has participated in several portfolio review sessions, including the “New York Times Portfolio Reviews”.

Andrea Horvay is a co-curator at Fotografie Forum Frankfurt (FFF). As an art historian specialised in photography, she supported the programme of FFF as press officer and helped organise the FFF Academy, selecting a programme of lectures, discussions and workshops with international experts and photographers. She was the managing editor for the international photography triennial RAY Fotografieprojekte Rhein/Main publication, based in Frankfurt and at the FFF. From 2009 to 2011 she worked at Museum Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf in the department of exhibition management. Horvay has written essays about 20 century art and photography, for example about Arnulf Rainer, Daniel Spoerri, Thomas Struth, ZERO. Currently Horvay consults with FFF’s artistic director Celina Lunsford, in researching for dynamic contemporary and historical projects which have not yet been seen in Germany for exhibition at the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, the FFF Academy or for the RAY triennial. Some particular themes which she is looking for deal with nature, youth, and biographical issues.

Andreas Trampe is based in Hamburg, Germany and has a long photographic history. Starting his career as a photo trainee, he went on to work as a freelance photojournalist for German daily newspapers and magazines including Bunte and Bild am Sonntag. In 1996, Andreas started working at Stern Magazine. He was first assigned Deputy of the Picture Desk before becoming the Director of Photography for nineteen years. Since 2019, he has been Senior Picture Editor for the magazine. He is member of the German Society for Photography (DGPh) and one of the founders of the stern Scholarship Program promoting young photographers by giving graduates a years' contract as staff photographer at stern magazine. Andreas is one of the founders of Hamburg Portfolio Review.

Since 2021 Antonio Carloni is the Coordinator of photographic projects and commissions of Intesa Sanpaolo and Deputy Director of the Gallerie d'Italia in Turin, the last venue of the bank's museum complex whose main mission is to tell the great themes of our time through the visual language and contemporary photography. Previously he founded and directed the Cortona On The Move international photography festival for 11 years, making it one of the most important events on the international scene. He has participated in numerous portfolio readings and juries of national and international awards.

Arianna Rinaldo is a Barcelona, Spain based freelance professional working with photography at a wide range. From 2012 to 2021 she was the artistic director of Cortona On The Move, international festival of visual narrative. Since 2016 she is the photography curator at PhEST, a festival of contemporary photography and arts in Puglia. Rinaldo was archive director at Magnum Photos, NY; then picture editor for Colors Magazine in Italy and worked as photo consultant for various publications. For 7 years she was the director of OjodePez, the documentary photo magazine published in Spain. She is a regular participant in portfolio reviews and jury panels worldwide, as well as speaker, educator and mentor, often working with photographers as editor for book projects. She is on the nominating committee for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award and BJP’s Ones To Watch.

Armin Smailovic is a Munich, Germany and Sarajevo, Bosnia based photographer, curator and lecturer. His documentary work is deeply involved in post-conflict societies and political issues. He co-directed two theatre plays based on his documentary projects, at the prestigious Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Smailovic’s works were awarded at several awards, e.g. the Hansel Mieth Award, including the Grand Prix in 2014, the Award of the City of Munich for outstanding photographic accomplishments, the LEAD AWARD and the 09. Marler Media Award for Human Rights 2016 by the German Section of Amnesty International. Smailovic is a founding member and curator of the „Fotodoks“ Festival for Documentary Photography in. From April 2017 until February 2019 he lectured documentary photography at the Fachhochschule Bielefeld. In 2020 he became a founding member of Agentur Focus – Die Fotograf*innen.

Ashfika Rahman is based in Dhaka, BD. She is a visual artist, teacher and art initiator. Her practice straddles art and documentary. In each of her works, she tries to challenge the mainstream perspective on complex systemic social issues in the periphery of her home country and raise awareness globally about these alarming threats to humanity. Rahman has exhibited in festivals and museums internationally including Palais de Tokyo, Paris, FR; Triennial of Photography Hamburg; Dhaka Art Summit, BD; Lumix Festival, DE; Chobi Mela X, BD; Jimei x Arles photo festival, CN; FORMAT Festival, UK; Alserkal Avenue, UAE; Photo 2022, AUS. She had a solo show at the Vitrine Gallery, CH and the Drik Gallery, BD. Ashfika holds lectures and conferences, e.g. at the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst; FHNW - University of Applied Sciences Northwestern, Switzerland; Institut Kunst Gender Natur (IAGN), Switzerland and the Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Germany. She participated in several portfolio review sessions, including the Tbilisi Photo Festival and the Triennial of Photography Hamburg. In 2018 she received the Joop Swart Master Class by World Press Photo Foundation. She joined as a teacher at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, BD and is a member of the MAPS images agency. She is the artistic partner of The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), Bangladesh.

Bertan Selim currently works as Head of Development at the NDT in The Netherlands. In 2014 he helped set up the Arab Documentary Photography Programme (ADPP), a joint collaboration of the Prince Claus Fund, Arab Fund for Arts and Culture and Magnum Foundation. He regularly curates photo shows and lectures at different art academies throughout Europe. Bertan is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and a board member of Dokufest in Kosovo. In 2022 he joined Fotoevidence Board of Directors. In 2020 Bertan founded the VID Foundation for Photography to support emerging visual storytellers from the Balkans with grants and mentorships.

Christoph Bangert works as a photographer, author and educator. He studied photojournalism and documentary photography at the International Center of Photography in New York. On assignment for the New York Times, he documented the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq from 2005 to 2013. He is the author of several books, including War Porn (Kehrer 2014), Rumors of War (Kehrer 2021) and The Fotobus Manual (Eigensinn 2022). Bangert is the founder of the Fotobus Society, one of the largest non-profit photography student projects worldwide. Currently, Bangert is a professor of photography at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Bangert serves on the executive board of the laif cooperative.

Claudia Hinterseer is senior video producer at the award-winning South China Morning Post in Hong Kong. Before she worked as managing multimedia producer at China Daily Asia. Prior to pivoting from photography to video, she was photo editor at Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad. In 2007, she founded NOOR photo agency and served as its MD for seven years. Earlier in her career she set up photojournalistic educational programs around the globe for World Press Photo. She obtained an MA in Visual Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam.

Daniel Tchetchik is a staff photographer and the founder/chief editor of the photography blog at Haaretz Newspaper He has displayed his personal works in prominent museums and galleries in Israel as well as on international stages in several destinations across the world. His recent large scale project Dark Waters was displayed last year at the Museum for Sepulkralkultur and published by Kehrer Verlag. Tchetchik’s works are part of the collections of The Museum of Tel Aviv, The Museum of Ramat Gan, The Peter Blum Gallery, The Umm El Fahem Gallery, Museum for Sepulkralkultur, The Marc Rich Foundation, The French Institute as well as several private collections. Tchetchik divides his time between local and international personal projects and documentary assignments, many times each approach provides inspiration for the other. His work has been featured on platforms of the The Financial Times, The Süddeutsche Zeitung, The New Yorker, Frankfurter Allgemeine, Haaretz Newspaper and more.

Demet Yıldız Dinçer is based in Istanbul, Turkey and the Curator and Head of Photography Department at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art. She taught several courses on art at the Sabancı University and continued her career in contemporary art at the Istanbul Biennial before taking up her current position at Istanbul Modern in 2015. In addition to curating photography exhibitions, Yıldız Dinçer contributes to various publications and holds jury membership and nominator positions at various international photography festivals and events.

Dudley M. Brooks is based in Washington D.C., US and the deputy director of photography for The Washington Post. He is also the photo editor for The Washington Post Magazine. Proceeding this, Brooks was the director of photography and senior photo editor for the monthly magazine Ebony and its weekly sister periodical Jet - both published by Johnson Publishing Company in Chicago. These iconic publications chronicled the African American experience for over seven decades. In addition to his primary responsibilities at the Post, he is also a award winning photographer and a co-founder of The Obsidian Project – an organization committed to promoting culturally diverse points-of-view within the visual industry.

Edda Fahrenhorst lives and works in Hamburg. Since 2010 she has been co-owner and managing director of the agency Fotogloria | Büro für fotografische Zusammenarbeit. Since the summer of 2020, she has also been the curator of the environmental photography festival "horizonte zingst" and the expanded year-round exhibition program in Zingst. Edda is also one of the active members of the "Freundeskreis des Hauses der Photographie" in Hamburg and always works on at least two freelance projects at the same time, currently on the series #FacesOfPhotography and "6.0 - Wir zeigen Zukunft".

Fiona Shields is based in London, UK and head of photography for the Guardian News and Media Group. She has over twenty years‘ picture editing experience across a range of newspaper titles. Including ten years as a picture editor of the Guardian. Shields has been involved in the coverage of some of the most historic news stories of our time including the events surrounding 9/11, global conflicts, natural disasters, the humanitarian crises resulting from the growing refugee numbers across the world and now the global pandemic. She has joined the jury for World Press Photo, the Sony World Photography Awards, The Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and is a regular nominator for the prestigious Prix Pictet Prize.

Gilles Steinmann is the Director of Photography for the daily newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) in Switzerland. He has been a photo editor for over 16 years, worked for various major Swiss publications and has been involved in the coverage of some of the most historic global news stories. One of his other main tasks at the newspaper is in developing new ways of storytelling both in print and online to bring indepth visual reporting to his readership. From 2017 until 2020 he published over 150 photo-essays in print and online as a "Foto Tableau" giving photographers a platform to tell their stories. Gilles has been a jury member for national and international photo contests such as the Lumix Festival for Photojournalism in Hanover, Germany.

Prof. Heike Ollertz is a Hamburg, Germany based photographer. She worked for a wide variety of magazines, e.g. Mare, GEO, National Geographic, Stern, der Spiegel and more. In 2019 Ollertz became an appointed member of the German Photographic Society DGPH. In 2020 she became a founding member of Agentur Focus – Die Fotograf*innen. Until January 2023 she was dean of the faculty Art & Design at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences. Heike Ollertz is one of the founders of the Hamburg Portfolio Review and since February 2023 the new COO of the photographers’ association FREELENS e.V.

Hideko Kataoka is based in Tokyo, Japan. She has been director of photography at Newsweek Japan since 2001. In 2004, She launched the Picture Power section in the magazine, a weekly photo essay that captures underreported topics around the world. Published for the last 18 years, Picture Power continues to provide a printed showcase for contemporary photographers’ work. Hideko is a lecturer at Tokyo Polytechnic University, serves as a member of the external review committee at Tokyo Photographic Art Museum and as a juror at international photography festivals and competitions, e.g. World Press Photo.

Jenny Smets is an art-historian, specialising in contemporary photography based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She works both in art and media as a curator, photo editor and consultant on contemporary photography. Jenny hosts international workshops and masterclasses, is editor of photobooks and visual stories and writes on photography. She worked amongst others for clients as the Dutch magazine Vrij Nederland (director of photography), Stedelijk Museum Breda, Fotodok-space for photography in Utrecht (curator), World Press Photo, and the KABK art academie based in The Hague. Jenny’s company is called Docs+Tales.

Kate is a lead photo editor at The Wall Street Journal and the former photo director for BuzzFeed News. With over a decade of experience as a visual journalist, she currently specializes in reporting on Latin America, Asia and the environment. Kate loves figuring out ways to tell compelling stories on tricky topics. Some favorites include gun violence in America, the management of the Colorado River, carbon credits in Peru, and mining efforts in Brazil. It’s not all serious though — she’s edited viral stories about sheet cakes, sex tricks and led daily celebrity shoots for almost two years. Kate has been lucky enough to collaborate on articles that have won the George Polk Award, The Livingston Award, The National Magazine Award and the Pulitzer Prize. Her work has been recognized by the The Society of Publication Designers, American Photography, The National Press Photographers Association and the Peabody Award, among others. Previously, she worked for ABC News and the New York Post.

Lars Boering is the director of the European Journalism Centre and is founder of Triggertale.com, a platform for visual communication and storytelling. He has been actively involved with photography for several years. From 2015 till 2021he led World Press Photo Foundation and has transformed it into an organization that is more than a contest. He calls himself a photopreneur, is an advisor on photography, teacher, collector and consultant. As an advisor, he is working together with several professional partners actively involved in the creative industries and advertising business. Together they add different opinions on and solutions to the projects and brands they work on. Lars has co-produced exhibitions with photographers, Festivals, museums and art foundations and works as picture editor and judges contests at the highest level. Since 2021 Lars works as the Director of the European Journalistic Center (EJC), EJC is making available a wide range of unique meetups, substantial grants, resources and training affordable or for free.

Laurence Tan is a visual editor at The New York Times based in New York, USA. He was previously a senior assignment editor at Getty Images in Hong Kong, where he oversaw news coverage in Asia, and worked as a photo editor at the International Herald Tribune and Reuters Wider Image Desk. He participated as a jury member for national and international photo awards, including the World Press Photo contest in 2018, and was a contributing photographer for the “Eyes on China” project, which was formed by a group of China-based photographers.

Lekgetho Makola is currently the CEO of Javett Art Centre at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. He is the former Head of Market Photo Workshop in Johannesburg. Makola has been part of a number of diverse visual storytelling platforms and curatorial committees that included the Rencontres de Bamako in Mali, New York Times portfolio reviews and chairing the World Press Photo Awards General Jury 2020. Lekgetho Makola’s artistic philosophy is embedded in social justice and advocacy as an International Ford Foundation Fellow on Social Justice. He sits on the advisory committees to the boards of CathLight and Social Documentary Network. Lekgetho, a graduate of Howard University MFA Film Studies, has accumulated extensive strategic experience in arts administration and artistic programming from institutions he worked for in over two decades. He is a founding member of Centres of Learning for Photography in Africa, a continental network for photographic hubs.

Lucy Conticello is based in Paris, France and the director of Photography of M, Le Monde‘s weekend magazine. She has worked for various magazines, e.g. Business Week, The New York Times, l‘Espresso, The New York Times magazine, Courrier International, as well as photography agencies such as Sipa Press and Magnum Photos. Conticello regularly takes part in international photography juries and portfolio reviews, e.g. at the World Press Photo Award, the Foam Paul Huf award, the Magenta Foundation Flash Forward, Photo Meet London, Fotografia Europea and more. She has guest curated an issue in Ojodepez magazine and conducted photography workshops at Fotofilmic Creative Immersion workshop in Bowen, the ISFCI Istituto Superiore di Fotografia e Comunicazione Integrata in Rome, the Internazionale Festival in Ferrara and the Canon Student Development Programme in Perpignan. Lucy Conticello has also been on the Advisory Committee for Unseen Amsterdam.

Magdalena Herrera is a freelance art director and photo editor. Born in Havana to a family of artists, Magdalena Herrera left Cuba as a child to settle in Paris, where she studied fine art and art history at the Sorbonne before starting her career as a graphic designer and art director. She has worked in books, print and magazines, spending ten years as Art Director and head of the photo department at National Geographic France before joining Geo France as Director of Photography. Parallel to her journalistic work, Magdalena Herrera runs workshops and seminars around the world organized by the World Press Photo Foundation, including the Joop Swart Masterclass, and for Fokal, the Soros foundation, in Haiti. She has taught photojournalism at the Ecole Supérieure de Sciences Po, Paris. Her experience and her eye for photography mean that she is regularly solicited as a Jury Member at international photography competitions. She was the chair of the 2018 World Press Photo contest.

Maral Deghati is Managing Editor for News at Getty Images. Producing photography and multimedia narratives in collaboration with photojournalists worldwide on issues concerning developing and conflict ­stricken contexts across SWANA region, Asia, Africa and Europe. With a background in photojournalism, art history and psychology in a multicultural environment, her interests focus on the exploration of the human experience and its varied perspectives through photography and multidisciplinary action. Beyond her role as a photo-editor, advocating visual literacy, curating exhibitions and educational projects are integral to Deghati’s work with photography. In 2014 she was the founding editor-in-chief for Me-Mo magazine, a new media interactive magazine of documentary photography. Deghati was a programmer for the WARM Festival in Sarajevo (2014-2018) and a curator of the exhibition co-produced by Bayeux Award For War Correspondents "Afghanistan, an endless war" (2019), as well as manager of education at World Press Photo.

Marina Paulenka is the founding Director of Exhibitions at Fotografiska Berlin, where she is responsible for the museum’s exhibition strategy, artistic vision and affairs, and program. She was the Artistic Director of UNSEEN Foundation and UNSEEN, an Amsterdam-based platform for contemporary photography that presents the latest developments in photography and amplifies the careers of boundary-pushing artists. Before her role at Unseen, she worked as Artistic Director and Curator of the Organ Vida International Photography Festival, the leading institution for contemporary photography in Croatia. Paulenka is a member of the Creative Committee at the Bristol Photo Festival, a guest curator at FUTURES Photography, and a keynote curator for the FORMAT21 International Photography Festival. She is the recipient of the Lucie Awards 2018 for the best curator/ exhibition of the year for the “Engaged, Active, Aware: Women Perspectives Now” exhibition. As an educator, she has taught at several academies, such as Fondazione Modena Arti Visive in Italy, the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, the Academy of Dramatic Art Zagreb, and the University of Zagreb. Paulenka gives guest teaching and workshops and works closely with emerging photographers and visual artists in developing their personal work/projects and professional practice. Paulenka nominates photographers for The Joop Swart Masterclass, the Prix Pictet, and the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize, and she is an international juror and portfolio reviewer at many institutions, awards and festivals worldwide, including the Les Rencontres d’Arles, Hamburg Triennial, Plat(t)form Winterthur, Robert Capa Prize, FORMAT.

Michael Danner is a Berlin, Germany based photographer and professor. His artistic works adopt a political and anthropological approach, in which he investigates contested sites and histories. The work takes the form of photographs and moving image, which often include archive material and text. Danner is a professor of photography at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences, he has been exhibited internationally, his work is represented in well-known collections and has received numerous grants and prizes.

Miriam Zlobinski works as a researcher, curator and writer about Photography. She is founder and part of the editorial board of "ReVue - magazine for photography and perception" and a lecturer at University of the Arts Berlin (UdK). As a trained journalist, she brings photography into public discussion at numerous events, and curated exhibitions f.ex. at least the multimedia project "In Waves #womenincovid". In 2016 she was a member of the Picture Editing Class at the Ostkreuz School for Photography and besides that Miriam is doing her PhD at the Humboldt University in Berlin with a thesis titled “The political image in photojournalism within the old Federal Republic of Germany, based on the example of the magazine Stern. A critical approach to the collective visual memory”. She received the Research Grant of the Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation in 2018 and since 2022 is a member of board history & archive section at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie (DGPh).

Niamh Treacy is the Coordinator for FORMAT International Photography Festival, the UK’s leading international contemporary festival of photography and related media based in Derby, UK. She has reviewed internationally for organisations such as Belfast Photography Festival, Uganda Press Photo and LCC and has juried open calls for FORMAT, UPPA, Zealous and the United Rugby Championship. Niamh is part of the FORMAT and QUAD curatorial team curating shows both internationally and nationally such as; un/natural, Lishui Photography Festival (2021), Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards, QUAD (2021), #massisolationFORMAT, Derby Museum and Art Gallery (2021); FUTURE FOCUS, QUAD Gallery (20222) and Bruce Asbestos, Eye of Newt 2.0, QUAD (2022).

Prof. Dr. Nina Röder is a Berlin, Germany based Professor of photography at University of Europe for Applied Sciences, where she teaches artistic strategies & exhibition methods. Next to her artistic activities she holds aPh.D. in the field of artistic research. Her research focus lies on performative strategies in contemporary photography in the context of contingency. Exposing hidden and unconscious structures of mechanisms of biographical narratives characterises the approach of her work. Nina‘s series have been shown in international festivals and exhibitions.

Olfa Feki is an architect, curator and artistic director/founder of #Kerkennah visual art festival. She has contributed into the establishment of the new generation of photojournalists of the North African shores following the Arab spring. After founding the first visual art center in Tunisia, she decided to move out to extend her experience. From project manager of ‘Something Else Cairo biennale’, to regional representative of NOOR Images agency in Amsterdam. She also curated the second edition of the Biennale of Photographers of the Contemporary Arab World in Paris. She has been a curator for several biennales such as Dak’art 2014 and Bamako Encounters 2017. But also, jury/nominator for various contests: La chambre Claire Morocco 2016/2018, Joop Swart Masterclass for the World Press Photo 2017-2020, Paul Huf Price for the Foam Museum 2017-2019, Cap Prize 2017-2018, Magnum foundation Grant 2017. In 2019 she was named ‘Chevalier des arts et des Lettres’ by the French Minister, as a reward for having contributed in the artistic field and her contribution to the dissemination of arts in France and in the world.

Orsolya Groenewold is a Hamburg, Germany based photo editor. After graduating at the University of Budapest in Slavic studies and literature Orsolya Groenewold moved to Germany in the late 1980s. She started working at the publishing house Gruner+ Jahr. From then on photography became her passion and profession. She changed her career and became a freelance photo editor for various magazines like Der Spiegel, FTD Weekend, Die Woche and more. Since 2000 she is member of the stern picture desk. Besides the resorts science, culture, travel and leisure, she was the responsible photo editor for several line extensions of Gruner + Jahr.

Paolo Woods is a documentary photographer, filmmaker and curator. He is the author of eight books and his work is widely exposed, collected and published. He works on long-term projects that focus on subjects that are crucial for understanding the world we live in but difficult to translate photographically. His projects include A Crude World tackling the subject of the oil industry, Chinafrica were he documented the spectacular rise of the Chinese in Africa, Walk on my Eyes, an intimate portrait of the Iranian society, STATE on what happens to a society when the state collapses, The Heavens which is a unique photographic investigation into the workings of tax havens. He has published HAPPY PILLS, with Arnaud Robert, on how the pharmaceutical companies sell us happiness. Currently he is working on his first film.

Peter Lindhorst discovered his passion for photography while working for one of the first photo bookstores in the world. He later studied cultural studies at the University of Lüneburg, where he graduated with a thesis on Nan Goldin and Larry Clark. He has worked for various publishing houses, including Steidl and Scalo. After a long stay in Brussels, he has been curating the photo exhibitions at Freelens Gallery in Hamburg for 10 years now. He is extremely interested in any kind of political issues and especially environmental issues and activism. For many years he has been the picture editor of the German Greenpeace Magazin.

Sarker Protick is a visual artist from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is the recipient of Joop Swart Masterclass, Magnum Foundation Fund and the World Press Photo Award. His work has been shown in museums, galleries and festivals including Yokohama Triennale, Hamburg Triennale, Paris Photo, 4A Center of Contemporary Asian Art, RMIT Gallery, Singapore Art Week and more. Protick is represented by East Wing Gallery and is a faculty member at Pathshala-South Asian Media Institute and co-curator at Chobi Mela International Festival of Photography.

Tanvi Mishra works with images as a photo editor, curator, and writer based in New Delhi, India. Among her interests are South Asian visual histories, representation within image-making as well as the notion of fiction in photography, particularly in the current political landscape. Until recently, she was the Creative Director of The Caravan, a journal of politics and culture published out of Delhi. She is part of the photo-editorial team of PIX, a South Asian publication and display practice. She works as an independent curator and has been part of the curatorial teams of Photo Kathmandu and Delhi Photo Festival as well as the upcoming edition of BredaPhoto. Her writing on photography has been published in various platforms including Aperture, FOAM and The Caravan. She has served on multiple juries, including World Press Photo, Chennai Photo Biennale Photo Awards and the Catchlight Global Fellowship. She has also been a mentor for the Women Photograph program and is part of the first international advisory committee of World Press Photo.

Teona Gogichaishvili, born in 1977, is a native Georgian and has lived in Germany for over 25 years. After studying German philology, history and philosophy in Georgia and Germany, she studied photography and design in Cologne and Bielefeld, graduating with a Master of Arts in Photography and Design. Since 2006, Ms. Gogichaishvili has been a freelance curator, photographer and lecturer at home and abroad. From 2017 until today, she is the head of the art department at the Music and Art School of the City of Remscheid. Since 2011, Ms. Gogichaishvili has been the co-organizer and curator of the international photography festival KOLGA TBILISI PHOTO in Georgia. Within this framework, she has curated numerous renowned exhibitions, including Dakar Fashion by Finbarr O‘Reilly, THE LAST TESTAMENT by Jonas Bendiksen, Then There was Silence by Jan Grarup, Le Petit Chaperon Noir by Sarah Moon. In 2018, Ms. Gogichaishvili, together with Antonia Loick/V8 and Inga Schneider/ Photoszene Köln, founded PURPUR COLLECTIVE. The collective has declared as its goal to highlight women in photography. In this context, the film „How to be/see a Woman”, with works by the 12 international female artists, was recently produced. Ms. Gogichaishvili is also a portfolio reviewer, involved in various photo festivals, including Photoszene Cologne, Hamburg Portfolio Review, Arles, Visa pour l‘image/Perpignan, Houston FotoFest. Since 2022, Ms. Gogichaishvili has been a member of the Board of Directors, Section Imagery, of the DGPh - German Society of Photography.

Thomas Borberg is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and since June 2021 staff photographer at Politiken. For the past 11 years, Thomas has worked as Politiken’s photo editor-in-chief and as a visiting lecturer of photojournalism at photo festivals and universities around the world. He has also worked as photo editor for numerous book projects and as a jury member for national and international photo contests, including the 2016 World Press Photo Contest as a member of the Documentary and News jury and the 2018 World Press Photo contest as Chairman of the Sports jury.

Tina Ahrens is the Director of Photography at ZEIT ONLINE. Previously, she was the Director of Photography at Philosophie magazine in Germany for nine years, where she oversaw the redesign of the magazine with Design-Duo Meire & Meire. Prior to that she was the photographic editor at GEO magazine in Hamburg, and then became a senior photographic editor at GEO magazine’s New York correspondent’s office, where she oversaw many of award-winning productions for the magazine. She went on to be a Visual Consultant for CNN Digital and was responsible for developing a new visual language for the redesign of GEO magazine with Art Director Anna-Clea Skoluda. Tina has been an affiliate Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and an Impact Producer for the "The Enemy", an acclaimed virtual reality installation developed in collaboration with the M.I.T. Tina has been a jury member and portfolio reviewer at numerous international festivals and awards.

Uche Okpa-Iroha shares his time between Lagos (Nigeria) and Chicago (USA). He is the Founder and Director of Lagos-based informal photography school, The Nlele Institute. He is a founding member of the Nigerian photography group known as the Blackbox Photography Collective and a founding member of the Invisible Borders Trans-African photography travel group in 2009. He is a two - time winner of the Grand Prix Seydou keita Award for the best photography creation at the 8th and 10th Bamako Encounters with the “Under Bridge Life” and “the Plantation Boy” projects in 2009 and 2015 respectively. He also a recipient of the Jean Paul Blachere prize in 2009. Okpa-Iroha is an ex-resident and alumnus of the Rijksakademie van Beeldende kunsten, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (2011- 2012). He co-founded the photography and video art night of projections – FOTOPARTY Lagos.

Valeria Posada-Villada is a historian and curator specializing in photography and Latin American arts. She is currently responsible for managing the photography collection of the Museum of World Cultures (NMvW) in The Netherlands. Prior to her current position, Valeria worked as Curator of Public Practice at Foam and Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the National Museum of Colombia, supporting the work of emerging and established talents alike. Valeria has served as reviewer and juror for Breda Photo and SO Dutch Photography Award. She has also contributed to academic journals and art magazines including Foam Magazine, Leicester Review and Cuadernos de Curaduria.

Martina Bacigalupo is a photographer and Director of Photography for the French magazines 6 Mois and XXI. She worked for ten years as a freelance photographer in Burundi, East Africa, collaborating with magazines, foundations and international organisations. Her work, which investigates the visual dynamics between Africa and the West, is part of several collections, including the Artur Walther Collection in Germany and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, USA. Martina Bacigalupo received the Canon Female Photojournalist Award in 2010. In 2013, she published the project "Gulu Real Art Studio" with Steidl. Interested in the migration crisis, she developed with Canadian researcher Sharon Sliwinski, "The Reverie project", an ongoing project that questions the representation of migrants. Bacigalupo is part of VU agency in Paris and holds professional workshops on documentary photo writing in France and abroad. Besides that she has been a member of mentorship programs and jury member of international photography competitions, including the 2022 Oskar Barnack Award and the 2021 edition of World Press Photo.

NayanTara Gurung Kakshapati lives in Kathmandu, Nepal and works at the intersections of visual storytelling, research, pedagogy, and collective action. In 2007, she co-founded photo.circle, an independent artist-led platform that facilitates learning, exhibition making, publishing and a variety of other trans-disciplinary collaborative projects for Nepali visual practitioners. In 2011, she co-founded Nepal Picture Library, a digital archiving initiative that works towards diversifying Nepali socio-cultural and political history. NayanTara Gurung Kakshapati is also the co-founder and festival director of Photo Kathmandu, an international festival that takes place in Kathmandu every two years. She has served as festival director for South Asia’s premier non-fiction film festival Film Southasia, been part of the selection committee for the first cycle of World Press Photo’s 6x6 Global Talent Program in Asia, and been a mentor for the 2020 World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. In 2020 she was awarded the Jane Lombard Fellowship by the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School, New York. NayanTara Gurung Kakshapati studied documentary photography at the SALT Institute of Documentary Studies, Maine and International Relations and Studio Art at Mt Holyoke College, Massachusetts.
