The Global SinoPhoto Awards are hosted on Picter.com.  Picter.com Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy apply.  In addition, please note the following in relation to the Global SinoPhoto Awards:

1. The Organiser

ACTIVE Anglo Chinese Communications Ltd., is the overall organiser (Organiser) which manages all aspects of the Global SinoPhoto Awards (Awards) also termed the Contest.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is global and open to people of all nationalities, anywhere in the world.  All images must show respect for the subject and the environment.  Any entrant under 18 at the closing date of the Contest must have the permission of a parent or guardian to enter the Contest.

It is the responsibility of each entrant (and the entrant's parent or guardian) to ensure that they have read and will abide by these rules.  By submitting an entry, each entrant (and the entrant's parent or guardian) agrees to these Terms & Conditions, that their entry complies with these rules, and that they will be liable to the Organiser and their licensees in respect of any damages or losses incurred as a breach of the rules.

Proof of eligibility, ID such as passport or driving licence, student registration must be provided upon request. Use of a false name or other false details will result in disqualification.

3. Submission Rules

All entries must be submitted via the Picter.com online platform or otherwise agreed.  The Organiser reserves the right to request from the entrant a copy of the original camera file and a screengrab of their editing software showing other images from the same shoot, and to eliminate entries where such a request is ignored or where it is suspected that the rules have been infringed.

The Organiser reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or remove any entry that does not comply with the rules or the spirit of the Awards, at any stage of the Awards.

4. Prizes

Cash prize for the overall and category winners and certificate for all winners including Highly Commended photographers.  Please see the Awards website for confirmation.

5. Contest Judging

Once the entry period has closed, the Panel of Judges will convene to determine the prize winners.  The shortlist and winners of the main categories will be announced between December 2023 and February 2024, during the Chinese New Year season.  Please refer to our Judges section on the main website page for more information.  The Judges' decisions are final and binding in all matters, no correspondence may be entered into regarding the decisions.

6. Copyright and permissions

All imagery MUST be the exclusive work of the submitting photographer and may not include any element that is the copyright of another.  The Copyright for each image entered will remain with the submitting photographer.  By entering the Contest and submitting your photograph(s), you hereby grant the Organiser, its sponsors and partners, a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to use your photograph(s) for any purpose, connected with the Awards, including (but not limited to), promoting the Awards within printed and online media, the inclusion within printed and digital versions of any Awards book, the inclusion within printed and digital versions of any Awards calendar or other merchandise, display at exhibitions, use in press, promotional and marketing materials, social media networks and for the promotion of any future photographic GSPA Awards in both print and online media.

7. Publicity

You agree to participate in Awards-related publicity and to the use of your name and likeness for the purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation.

8. Liabilities

The Organiser is excluded from liability for any loss, damage or injury which might occur to any of the winners arising from their acceptance of the prizes. Entrants indemnify the Organiser for all liabilities, including legal costs, in relation to any action or complaint taken by any third party against the Organiser in relation to the entrant's photograph(s).

9. General

When a photograph is submitted and the entry date has passed, the entry cannot be changed or withdrawn.  No refunds will be given.  Entry to the Awards shall be deemed full and unconditional acceptance of the Terms & Conditions.

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel this Contest, in which case image submission fees paid will be refunded.

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or change scheduled exhibitions or events related to these Awards.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions, all entrants will be duly notified of any changes made.  These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by English law.
