  1. By entering the Competition, you hereby accept these competition rules.

  2. In order to be considered for the competition, all entries must be submitted before the deadline of the 20th of May 2025, 23:59 CET on the Competition platform Picter. This includes having paid the entry fee and completed the submission form therein included.

  3. The competition is open to everyone, professional and amateur photographers alike.

  4. By entering the Competition, you agree and acknowledge that Fotofestival Lenzburg is permitted to receive and review your registration data. Participants agree that personal data including, but not limited to name, mailing address, phone number and email address, may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used for the purposes of conducting and administering this photo competition. At any time, participants have the right to access, review, rectify or cancel any personal data held by Fotofestival Lenzburg by sending an email to the following address: info@fotofestivallenzburg.ch

  5. The copyright to the images remains the property of the author of the images. Submitting photographers agree that they created the work(s) and/or that they are authorized to use the work(s) as submitted, co-authors and as relevant original sources should be referenced or credited and that our use of the Work(s) for exhibition and PR will not infringe on third party's copyright or other rights. Entrants to the Open Call Showcase represent and warrant that they are the authors and owners of the copyright to all images submitted and that their entries do not infringe upon privacy rights, copyright or any other rights of any person. The submitters warrant that their photographs do not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libellous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic or profane content or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct which would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. The Submitter agrees to fully indemnify Fotofestival Lenzburg in respect of all royalties, fees and any other monies owing to any person by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing.

  6. The organiser reserves the right to free reproduction and exhibition of the submitted images in all media, printed marketing material, publication and online, in connection with Fotofestival Lenzburg and its promotion. The copyright will be retained by the photographer at all times and, where an image or images are reproduced by the organiser, the photographer will be credited. By participating, all selected applicants grant Fotofestival Lenzburg and its Authorised Parties usage of images and acknowledge that any Festival and Authorised Party may use the entries and a name credit in any media before, during and after, without restriction in relation to the uses stated above. The Fotofestival Lenzburg and Authorised Parties will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use.

  7. Fotofestival Lenzburg reserves the right to preselect all entries before they are passed to the jury for review. The jury will choose the winners. The decisions of the jury are final.

  8. Fotofestival Lenzburg assumes no responsibility for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the Competition.

  9. Non-monetary benefits, perks, and prizes will not be exchanged for a cash prize under any circumstance in case of winning. The prizes of the Competition remain as stated on the Competition documentation and/or website and will not be changed.

  10. The organisers reserve the right to possible changes of the rules of competition without prior notice. Any amendments will be published on the website, and it is the entrants' responsibility to review the website for any amendments.

  11. Owing to the large number of applicants, entrants will not receive feedback on any project entered in the competition. Legal recourse is excluded.
