Arianna Catania has worked as a photo editor for several outlets and writes about art and photography for various magazines. She is the founder and director of "Gibellina Photoroad / Open Air & Site-Specific Festival" (Sicily, Italy), where photography and visual arts engage in dialogue with architecture through innovative urban installations. She is a curator of "Fotografia Europea" in Reggio Emilia (Italy) and Director of the Permanent Photography Collection at the Orestiadi Foundation, which holds one of Southern Italy’s most important contemporary art collections. She served as artistic director of the "Emerging Talents" festival at Mattatoio (Rome, Italy). She has curated numerous exhibitions and installations by established and emerging artists, including Joan Fontcuberta, Mimmo Jodice, Olivo Barbieri, Tobias Zielony, Valérie Jouve, Anouk Kruithof, Mario Cresci, Monica Alcazar-Duarte, Moira Ricci, Peter Puklus, Manon Wertenbroek, and many others. She regularly teaches at institutions such as IED, Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia, and is frequently invited to give talks and lead workshops. She also works as a portfolio reviewer and serves on international juries, including Format Festival, Circulation(s), Premio Graziadei–MAXXI, Call Fotografia Spazio Aperto (Triennale Milano), and Festival Images Vevey, among others.
Alexia Alexandropoulou is Head of the Visual Arts Programme at Olhares do Mediterrâneo Women’s Film Festival and works in curation and programming at Galeria Belo-Galsterer, Lisbon. In 2025, she curated the Encontros da Imagem Awards exhibitions. Her work spans exhibitions, public programming, and collaborative curatorial formats, with experience developing and managing projects across Portugal, Greece, Germany, the Czech Republic, and North Africa. Recent exhibitions include State of Man/State of Human at Industra Brno (2025), The Itch You Can’t Scratch at Galeria Plato, Évora (2025), Making is Colder than Capital at Atelier Concorde, as part of Lisbon Art Weekend (2024), and The Paths We Cross at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon (2024). She is an alumna of TASAWAR Curatorial Studios and was awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Curatorial Fellowship by ARTWORKS (2022).
Arianna Rinaldo is a freelance professional working with photography at a wide range. From 2012 to 2021 she was the artistic director of Cortona On The Move. In 2016 she co-founded PhEST, a festival of contemporary photography and arts in Puglia. Arianna’s relationship with photography started in 1998 as archive director at Magnum Photos in New York; and then as photo editor for Colors magazine in Italy. In Milan from 2004 to 2011, she worked as photo consultant for publications. For 8 years she was the editorial director of OjodePez, a bilingual documentary photo magazine published by La Fabrica. In Barcelona since 2012, Arianna continues to develop projects at an international level. Besides her curatorial activity, Arianna is engaged in teaching and mentoring. She is in the selection committee of institutions such as the Leica Oskar Barnack Award, BJP “Ones to Watch”, and the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize.
