Eligibility
- Application is open to participants globally. There are no residency requirements.
- All entrants must be between 14 and 30 years old at the time of submission. Any entrants below the age of 18 at the time of submission must obtain and include the signature of their parent or guardian authorizing the entrant to participate in the contest and agreeing to the rules and procedures specified herein. Entrant may be disqualified if the entrant makes any misrepresentations about their age or falsifies their parent/guardian signature.
- In the event that an executed project was part of a collaboration, all parties with copyright or intellectual property interests in the executed project must participate in the contest and each agree to the rules of submission. Group entrants must designate a single representative for the group. The representative will be the recipient of any communications regarding the project and shall act as the point person for the group.
Entrant's submission must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Address the climate crisis and/or ecological breakdown.
- Be implemented/executed at the time of submission. Executed projects can include photo shoots, films, performances, and new media content.
- The executed project must not break any laws or regulations, including acts of vandalism, or otherwise be in poor taste.
- Be already photographed and/or filmed at the time of submission.
Project submission requirements
Each entrant MUST submit the following in order to be considered for the prize:
- Include a project description of up to 500 words
- Include a brief bio (100 words)
- Video format submissions must be high resolution in MP4 or MOV format
- All images must be submitted in high-resolution JPEG
- If the project involves the use of AI tools, even in part, this must be clearly indicated in the project description, with a brief reflection on why the use of such tools was needed.
- If the project has received any awards or press coverage, please include this information in the project description.
- If the submission is in video format, it must include at least one (1) image of the executed project that best illustrates the executed project and its relevance to this contest.
- If the submission is in text format (e.g. poetry or writing), it should be suitably translated in a visual format.
- For digital-only/web-based projects, the entrant much include a live link to the project URL
- The presence of third party-branded materials, logos or trademarks are also not permitted in submissions. Inclusion of any such third-party materials or intellectual property may result in disqualification.
- Entrants must check the box indicating they agree to the rules and conditions of this contest effective upon submission and in perpetuity thereafter. Failure to indicate agreement will result in disqualification of the entrant.
Selection Process:
- Final selection of the winners will be made by a jury of professionals selected by Art Partner who represent a variety of roles, perspectives and professions within the creative industry. Selection of the winners shall be entirely at the discretion of Art Partner and/or the jury.
- Art Partner will review all eligible submissions and will select a group of finalists whose submissions will proceed to review by the jury. Finalist selection shall be made on the basis of the entirety of the submission including the visual quality of work, skill, clear vision statement, the environmental focus of the executed work and the effectiveness of the executed project in engaging with and presenting issues around the climate crisis.
- Selection of the winner by the jury will be by majority. A unanimous decision is not required for the winner to be valid. The reasoning or rationale for the selection of finalists or winners will not be released or discussed. It is in the jury's sole discretion to determine the award recipients.
- In the unlikely event that no winner can reasonably be selected, the contest shall be cancelled and no prize shall be awarded.
- Any winners will be notified via email in November 2026.
Prizes:
- One winner will receive $10,000 USD
- Two runner-ups will receive $5,000 USD each
- Five finalists will receive $2,000 each
- An Impact Award for the project that best demonstrates community impact
- 20 honourable mentions.
Projects will be featured in a virtual exhibition on earthpartner.com
Showcase posting of their executed project on Art Partner's digital, social media and network.
For the sake of clarity, if a selected winner or finalist entered the contest as a group, any prize money will be distributed in one payment to the designated group representative. How the funds are divided within the group are entirely outside of Art Partner's determination or liability.
Additional Rules and Conditions:
- All submissions are final and no materials will be returned to the entrant.
- Entrant to retain all copyright and intellectual property of the submission.
- By participating in the contest, the entrant is agreeing that Art Partner, and/or third parties designated by Art Partner, shall be granted the perpetual and irrevocable right to use the contents of the submission in whole or in part in any and all media, in exhibitions, books, editorially, for promotion, in trade, and license for syndication through itself or third parties, including use of the entrant(s)'s name, likeness and bio.
Submission and entrant(s)'s name, likeness, and bio to be used ONLY in association to this contest and/or Art Partner sustainability and climate change-related initiatives.
- Nothing in the rules of this contest or the provision of prizes shall be interpreted to engage Art Partner as entrants' agent for bookings or other engagement now or in the future without an explicit written agreement.
- The rules of this contest may be changed at any time by simply posting revised rules on the submission site.
- Art Partner, in its sole discretion, may decide to cancel the contest without any notice to the entrants. The entrant(s) understand that Art Partner is under no obligation to select a winner or winners.
- By submitting your entry to this contest you represent and warrant that all submission materials are original and wholly created by the entrant, or entrants in the event of a group submission, and will not infringe upon the rights of any third party. You agree and warrant that you have obtained all necessary permissions and/or clearances required to participate in this contest and no third party rights will conflict with the rights granted to Art Partner herein. Further, the entrant(s) represent and warrant that it has the right to enter this contest and that any rights granted to Art Partner will not conflict with the rights of any third party.
- The entrant(s) hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Art Partner, and its parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, harmless from and against any claims, demands, costs, expenses and damages (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees) relating to a claimed breach by the entrant(s) of any representation, warranty or agreement made by the entrant(s) hereunder.
- The failure of Art Partner to enforce any term or condition of this contest shall not be deemed a waiver of any terms or conditions. If any part of these rules is held unenforceable, the remainder of the contest rules will continue in effect. This contest shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York without regard to conflict of law principles.
- Furthermore, by participating in the contest, the entrant is agreeing to give Art Partner creative freedom to format the curation of the submitted project in a suitable format for physical and digital exhibitions, as well as any media.
- The physical exhibitions are not for commercial purposes. If that was ever to be the case, it will be discussed individually with the entrant beforehand.
