If your work is selected, you grant Der Greif a limited, non-revocable, non-exclusive license in permitting your image to be included in a print publication produced by Der Greif, in displaying your photos, or having them displayed in any format for press, marketing and communication purposes associated with Der Greif, and in using, displaying or projecting your photos in the context of Der Greif and on the Internet. Der Greif will provide credit with your name or, should you prefer, your pseudonym (artist's name), depending on what is practical and feasible given the publication medium. Additionally, where possible, your URL will be included as an optional acknowledgment. You agree that Der Greif is exclusively entitled to make decisions on the display of the submitted photographs. You also agree that your photos may be put into new contexts with other photographs and presented alone or in combination with other photographs. You acknowledge that Der Greif does not guarantee the publication of your submitted photographs and you waive all claims on remuneration.
If your work is selected to be the cover picture of the magazine, you grant permission to Der Greif to crop the image as necessary to ensure a consistent appearance. Further you authorize Der Greif to use the cover for merchandising activities related to Der Greif (e.g. advertisements, campaigns, postcards, tote bags, profile images on social media, etc.).
You agree that your photographs will be archived, irrespective of selection and publication. Should you wish to revoke this consent (for photographs that have not been selected), you may do so via email to »info@dergreif.org«. Upon revocation, the respective photographs will be deleted immediately following the conclusion of the project. Any works not chosen for publication by Der Greif will remain unused in any capacity, ensuring that you retain full ownership and rights.
You bear full responsibility for the photographs you submit. Under no circumstances may the images contravene any applicable law or public policy of any jurisdiction or any third party rights (refer to paragraph 5.2 of the Picter Terms of Use at https://www.picter.com/terms-of-use).
If your work is selected for publication in a print publication, you will receive a complimentary copy of it, shipped at no charge to the postal address you provided during the submission process. Additionally, both published and non-published submitters will be offered a discount on the purchase of (additional) copies. Published submitters are eligible for a higher discount than non-published submitters.
Only your full name, or, should you prefer, your pseudonym (artist's name) and respective URL, will be published in the media specified under section 5.1. Der Greif's Privacy Policy applies where applicable and can be found at https://dergreif.org/privacy-policy.
All personal data provided during the registration and submission process will be stored for submission management, image administration, curation, organization, and statistical analysis. You declare that you hold the sole copyright to all submitted photographs and agree to submit images from third parties only with explicit authorization from the respective copyright owners.
You confirm that you have obtained written consent, known as model releases, from all individuals depicted in the submitted photographs, or their legal guardians in the case of minors, allowing you to submit and license these images under the specified terms and for the purposes mentioned above. Additionally, you commit to providing these model releases to Der Greif upon request.
For street or public photography, you accept all responsibility for the display and further processing of your submitted photographs. Moreover, where relevant, you declare the right to submit images of places, buildings, landscapes, military sites or operations, means of transport, goods, and persons for publication as outlined in these terms.
You affirm your sole responsibility for the submitted photographs and agree to indemnify Der Greif and Kammerspiele against any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from your breach of these terms.
