We're looking for honest glimpses into life in Germany: an open call for images that shift perspectives.

Duration: until September 1, 2026 Who can take part? Everyone based in Germany - regardless of age or experience. Each of us takes photos every day, and we want to see the most interesting ones. What are we looking for? Single photos or small series (up to 10 images), taken with a smartphone camera or professional equipment. Participation: Free Prizes: 3 equal cash prizes of 1,000 euros each Winners announced: November 2026

Sometimes a shift in perspective happens while taking the photograph. Sometimes while viewing it. And sometimes only in the conversation about it.

That's why we deliberately ask:

Who's behind this?

Fondament is a non-profit organisation dedicated to making poverty and social inequality visible and to strengthening photography and art as tools for reflection and change. Working with networks across art, culture, and the social sector, Fondament creates spaces for dialogue and initiates creative projects.

Der Greif is the internationally recognized platform for contemporary photography that supports photographic talents at the beginning of their careers through visibility, mentoring, and access to an international cultural network, with a focus on curated image dialogues.

Together, we create a space where images spark societal conversations.
