An open call for images that change perspectives.

"Ich seh' etwas, was du nicht siehst"* is a photographic open call for images that make multifaceted perspectives on social life in Germany visible - and in doing so, change and challenge the way we look around us.

Show us your perspective!

We're looking for photos and photographic works that tell more than one story and leave room for different readings. Images that don't just offer a single clear-cut explanation, but allow for multiple perspectives.

Sometimes a shift in perspective happens while taking the photograph.

Sometimes while viewing it.

And sometimes only in the conversation about it.

That's why we deliberately ask:

What do you see that we don't (yet)?

About Fondament and Der Greif

Fondament + Der Greif are jointly behind this open call.

Fondament is a non-profit organisation dedicated to making poverty and social inequality visible and to strengthening photography and art as tools for reflection and change. Working with networks across art, culture, and the social sector, Fondament creates spaces for dialogue and initiates creative projects.

Der Greif is the internationally recognized platform for contemporary photography that supports photographic talents at the beginning of their careers through visibility, mentoring, and access to an international cultural network, with a focus on curated image dialogues.

Jury
