CANVAS NYC Photography Award 2026 – Terms & Conditions

By submitting an application to the CANVAS NYC Photography Award 2026, the applicant ("Participant") agrees to the following terms:

1. Ownership of Work

All submitted photographs remain the sole property of the Participant. No ownership or copyright is transferred to Hotel Canvas or its partners.

2. License to Display

By entering the contest, the Participant grants Hotel Canvas a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display the submitted photographs in the following contexts:

• Public and private spaces within Hotel Canvas, including guest rooms
• The Hotel Canvas website and official digital platforms
• Promotional materials related specifically to the CANVAS NYC Photography Award and the Participant's exhibition

This license is limited to display and promotional use only; it does not permit resale, alteration, or creation of derivative works.

3. Sales of Artwork

If the Participant's work is exhibited and offered for sale, 100% of all sales revenue will go directly to the Participant. Hotel Canvas will not take any commission under any circumstances.

4. Original Work

The Participant confirms that all submitted photographs are original works created by them and do not infringe upon any third-party rights.

5. Usage Duration

The display license is granted for the duration of the contest, exhibition period, and related promotional activities. The Participant may revoke permission for future use at any time with written notice, except for materials already published.

6. Consent for Participation

Submission of an application confirms that the Participant understands and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
