Dario De Dominicis (Rome, 1965) is a professional photographer active since 1993, whose work has been published in prestigious outlets such as Le Monde, Newsweek and L’Espresso. His career spans long-term social documentary work and the teaching of photojournalism, which he has carried out for many years at leading institutions in Rome.

Giulia Balzano
Giulia Balzano
Independent curator, archeologist

Giulia Balzano is an archaeologist from Ogliastra who, after over a decade of fieldwork, shifted her focus to scientific communication, education, and museum outreach. A founding member and president of the cultural association Menabò, she managed the Obsidian Museum of Pau (2012–2024) and created Un Bosco da Fiaba, a unique art-in-nature project in Sardinia. Since 2026, she has been Director of the Fondazione Tortolì and, as a P4C facilitator, places educational reflection at the core of her work.

Simona Sanna

Simona Sanna is a professional photographer and educator based in Oristano, specializing in Phototherapy and Therapeutic Photography. Her work explores the connection between image, psychology, and self-narration, combining photography with counseling in a multidisciplinary approach. She has exhibited widely and collaborates with public and private institutions in educational and socio-cultural contexts, using photography as a tool for personal exploration and connection.

Stefano Pia
Stefano Pia
Artistic Director, Photographer

Stefano was born in 1978 in Oristano and lives in Mogoro. Social reportage is the photographic genre he focuses on most. He has exhibited in various national galleries, festivals, and museums. In 2014 and 2015, he was selected by the MAN Museum in Nuoro to present his works. In 2019, the festival Semplicemente Fotografare awarded his work as Best Photographic Project. In 2020, he won the Corigliano Calabro Book Award and the Coast Day Sardinia prize. In 2025, the MAVI Museum in Lacedonia awarded him the special “Frank Cancian” Prize. He has published two books and a fanzine. Since 2011, together with Vittorio Cannas, he has been the artistic director of BiFoto Fest.

Valentina De Santis, born in Rome, trained at the Istituto Superiore di Fotografia e Comunicazione Integrata (ISFCI) in Rome, focusing her interests on documentary, reportage, and authorial photography. She further specialized in storytelling and completed a master’s degree in photojournalism. The desire to portray the human condition is the main focus of her daily photographic research. She currently lives and works in Rome, primarily documenting customs, traditions, and the evolution of communities.

Vittorio Cannas

Vittorio Cannas (1986) lives and works in Mogoro, in the Marmilla region—an area where history, artisan traditions, agro-pastoral culture, and contemporary cultural energy still coexist. From this context stems his commitment to photography, focused on people, places, and the traces that shape contemporary identity. In 2011, together with photographer Stefano Pia, he founded BìFoto Fest, an international festival that has become a key reference point for photography in Sardinia.
