Jess Baxter is a curator, researcher and writer based in London. She is currently Assistant Curator of International Art at Tate Modern, where she worked on the recent A World in Common: Contemporary African Photography exhibition, as well as the monographic displays of Deana Lawson, Joel Meyerowitz and Guerrilla Girls. She is one of the Emerging Curators of the British Art Network for 2023. Publications include Lieko Shiga (2023) and an upcoming book on medieval and contemporary art practices (2024). She holds an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, and her curatorial interests include feminine and genderfluid spirituality, trans-temporality, and constructions of Britishness. tate.org

Alessia Glaviano is the Head of Global PhotoVogue and Director of the PhotoVogue Festival. After joining Vogue Italia in 2001 and shaping its visual identity as Visual Director, she transitioned in 2022 to focus solely on leading PhotoVogue. In this role, she collaborates with all Vogue editions worldwide, championing both emerging and established photographers. Under her leadership, PhotoVogue has become an industry-leading platform. Glaviano also oversees the PhotoVogue Festival, the first conscious fashion photography festival. She regularly lectures at top institutions and serves on juries for major international photography awards. vogue.com

Assistant Curator of Photography (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, U.S.A) Shana Lopes, PhD, is an Assistant Curator of Photography at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Since her arrival at the museum in 2019, she has organized exhibitions on cyanotypes, the 1906 earthquake, Atget, and Wright Morris. She is the co-curator of Constellations: Photographs in Dialogue, which pairs recent acquisitions with existing work from the collection, and A Living for Us All: Artists and the WPA, both currently on view. Over the past fourteen years, she has gained curatorial experience at the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Arizona, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. sfmoma.org

Alejandro is founder-director of IC Visual Lab (ICVL), an independent photography platform recently appointed to lead the second edition of Bristol Photo Festival. With ICVL, Alejandro has produced curatorial & publishing projects with Bristol Museums & Archives, Arnolfini Gallery, Eastside Projects, Format Festival Derby, Getxophoto international festival & Photo Kathmandu, with support from Arts Council England, Historic England, Heritage Lottery Fund & the British Council. Beyond ICVL, he has a track record of managing and activating historic archives, including Historical Photographs of China 1850-1950 (University of Bristol), the Martin Parr Foundation library, The Nepal Picture Library and the British Empire & Commonwealth Collection. Michael has been Director of the Belfast Photo Festival since 2009 and initiated as well as curated numerous commissions on exhibitions of contemporary art with a particular focus on photography. He curates a varied programme of artist talks, symposiums, residencies, workshops, films and exhibitions per year, which has previously included artists such as Ai Wei Wei, Alec Soth, Roger Ballen and Robert Mapplethorpe. He nominates and judges for a number of international awards, including the ICP Infinity Awards (New York) and SIFEST (Bologna), as well as reviews internationally. belfastphotofestival.com
